Copy and Paste branch items:
F11 - Select Items to copy
CTRL - C - Copy Selected Items
Click on Header - Menu will contain the Paste
command. Select Paste.
Other Shortcut Keys:
DELETE Key - Delete Selected Item
Up and Down Arrow Keys: Press these keys
when a fitting image is initially displayed onscreen
in order to resize the image.
NOTES: Moving and deleting:
Shift - or Shift - combination to Resize
Notes. Text can now be moved, with number pad
keys and arrows, or resized or moved. Toggle the
orientation of text with the spacebar.
Text can be moved, or resized when it appears on-
screen initially, and while text is still red. Press the
enter key to accept the size/location and orientation
of the note.
After the text is positioned, you must select the text
by using the F12 key, then by drawing a box around
the text. Selected text will be displayed in blue.
The Text can now be moved, with number pad keys
and arrows.
Selected Text can also be deleted by pressing the
DELETE key, or resized. Tap the spacebar to togglethe selected texts orientation.

Use these key strokes: - To do this:
ESC Key - Remove any Menu from the Screen Orget out of any onscreen mode.
Click - on the end of the pipe or fitting image to
draw in that position.
Click - on the end of a dimension line in order to
move the dimension.
Click - on the middle of a dimension line in order
to enter a new dimension.
Click - on a header pipe to draw a branch
(displays Branches menu) in that position.
Draw a new Iso-Same Page - Right Click for Menu
Then Choose - Draw Pipe/Fittings Here
Control A - Select All Pipe and Fittings
Control B - Display Bill of Material
Control E - Edit Bill Of Material
Control L - Automatic Size Label
Control T - Edit Weld Tags, Enter Welder ID, &
Inspection Info.
Control W - Display Weld Map
The F Keys:
F3 - Display Fitting Menu
F4 - Refresh screen
F6 - Dimension Branches and Attachments To use
this function, Press F6, then click on the item num-
bers for first one, then the other items. Selected
items will be displayed inside a blue circle.
F7 - Dimension Offset Boxes

Left: To view existing Specification informationwhich has already been entered, or to edit Specifi-
cation information which has been entered, from
the main program menu, select Job/Spec Setup.
Left: Select the Spec which you wish to view/Edit
and select the button Edit This Spec.
The following screen below left, will be displayed.

Drawing in 2 inch and below, will give you
SW/TH options on the onscreen menus.
In order to view Wall thickness, fitting ratings,
weld gaps, etc, select Walls, Ratings & Materials

In the Edit Spec section, click on Pipe and
Fittings to access these selection boxes.
Notice that the SW/TH Elbow and Tees have
checkmarks next to them to indicate these
particular fittings are available in the spec.,
and can be drawn.
Click on SW/TH Sizes & Walls to display
the screen below.
This screen will display the Pipe sizes and Thicknesses selected for this spec.
The sizes may be viewed in Inches or Millimetres.
You may make changes to the wall thicknesses here, as well.

Drawing Socket Weld Pipe and Fittings
First of all, make sure that the specification, which you have set up, includes a SW/TH size, and SW/
TH fitting ratings. At the drawing screen, select a starting size within the SW/TH range. For this sam-ple, I am using 1 as my starting size. See below.
#1. Select the start point for this drawing. Move the start point selector to the sector of the drawingscreen, where you want to begin. Next Click the compass letter which represents the drawing direction.#2. Select the Spec from the list which is displayed.
#3. Select the pipe/fitting size. In order to draw SW/TH pipe and fittings, make sure you are selecting aSW/TH size, which you have setup in the spec.#4. Select the first piece if pipe, or the first fitting.

The red arrow shows the selectedstart point and direction.
I am selecting P- Plain End to
start. This can be selected by a
mouse click, or by the letter P
from this menu. When drawing pipe, the first
mouse click, sets the onscreen item
number, the second click sets pipe
length onscreen.

Elbow from the menu, for the
next fitting. A prompt asksme to select whether this fit-
ting is
G- Socketweld Elbow, or

- Threaded Elbow.I have selected G for a SW
Elbow.

the type of Tee I want to draw. From the
choices available, I select
G
SW Tee.Other choices include SW Reducing Tee,
TH Tee, TH Reducing Tee.
Prompts will now ask that I input
an overall dimension length for the
Elbow, Pipe, Tee configuration.For simplicity sake I type in 2.
*Remember - any number typed
in after the symbol is assumed to
be inches by the software. No need
to type in the . You may also put
the whole dim in, as inches and theprogram will convert it.
*The program will add configura-
tion numbers together as well.
EI: 24 + 3 10
Click on any of the Tee ends, to
continue drawing in that spot.
My next selection is 1 pipe.
I added a joint, then changed my mind. The program
will remove the weld I placed earlier, when the next
fitting choice is made. Draw Tee from the Branch side.

My next menu selection is a reducer.
Onscreen menu choices include H SW
Reducing Coupling, which is my choice.
See menu at right for selections of SW/
TH reducing fittings.
The onscreen prompt, now
asks that I choose a new
size.
I select a larger size of
1 1/2
New fittings added at the
end of the reducer, will
automatically be drawn in
the new size.
SW reducing coupling image is added to the drawing.
Undimensioned pipe is displayed in red.
Next menu selection is 1 1/2 pipe.

I have added pipe and
a Tee from the Branchside to the drawing.
Click on any end of
the Tee to continuedrawing in that spot.
Notice the cut lengths
within brackets placed
under the dimensions.
Control - B will display the bill of
material for this drawing. Click toopen the menu, then select Zoom
Window. This will allow you to
create a box around any area,which you wish to Zoom In.
Control - W will display
the weld map.
The Weld Tags will
need to be repositioned.

The keystrokes. Control E will display the
screens shown at Left and shown enlarged below.Here the User Codes, and Heat Numbers can
be entered, as well as the MTR and PMI
numbers .
Click on Apply and then on Done to save your
changes.
Items may be listed in the order drawn, item-
ized, or as per the BOM.
Start to enter the User Code if required.
Click on the space to make an entry.
Click on Apply to save your changes, then click
on Done when finished.

From the drawing screen, the keystrokes, Control - T will display this form. Edit the weld tags, en-
ter the Welder ID, and Inspection Info. For this example, I have entered the name Joe Welder.
#1/ Begin to fill in the Welder ID for the listed welds.
#2/ When the Welder ID is the same for more or all of the welds, simple click the repeat button on the
next empty field, to insert the same welder ID over again.

Drawing Threaded fittings is
almost the same as drawing
SW fittings.
You will be selectingThreaded end preps for pipe
and fittings.
Select your start point to
begin.
In this example, I have cho-sen TE as the end prep,
and the threaded symbol is
displayed at the pipe start
point.
The next fitting se-
lected is E 90 Elbow
which represents a 90
degree elbow.
A prompt asks me toselect either a SW or
TH fitting.
The elbow direction is tog-
gled by using the right
mouse button, or the space-
bar.
The choices for the elbowdirection will be displayed
in turn, until you select one
with the left mouse click.
The next prompt will ask
for the dimension place-
ment, which you willchoose from the possible
choices displayed by the
onscreen lines.Type a dimension into the
fitting length box.
I type a dimension of 2
into the dimension text
box.

My dimension is placed and the
fitting image, and the end preps
are displayed.The onscreen menu returns.
My next choice is 3/4 pipe.
The next choice I make is
Tee from Branch, which
draws the Tee from the
branch side.
An onscreen prompt asks that
I select the Type of Tee I
want to draw.
Choices include Reducing
Tees, and SW or TH Tees.
The dimension line choices appear
onscreen showing me all of the
possible placements for the Dims.
Dims can be moved and changed
whenever you wish, so do not
consider this placement as final.The pipe remains coloured in red until
it is dimensioned.Enter the dimension into the onscreen
text box.

Click on the upper menu
item Move then select
Tag/Weld Box or use the

This option displays a handshaped cursor which can be
used to move the item num-
bers and weld tags, simply
by clicking on the item
number or weld tag, and
dragging it to a new spot.
I have moved the item
numbers around on thedrawing.
Add a branch by clicking on the
pipe/fitting you want the branch
attached to. I have selected pipe,and the onscreen menu asks me
to select the type of branch I
require.I have selected Sockolet.
I will select the 1/2 in size
from the menu.
Use the keystroke combination
ofControl - B to display the
Bill of Material, as above.
Relocate the dimension by
clicking on one end of the di-mension line.
The red line indicates where
you are positioning the Dim.
All of the positioning choices
are redisplayed.

The red drawing position arrow
will show you where the draw-
Repositioning dimension lines is
easy when you click on the end of
a dimension to move it. Click on
the dimension center numbers to
re-enter the dimension itself.
Click on the upper menu item Edit
and choose Select Pipe/Fittings or
press F11if you want to choose eachitem to be moved by clicking on theitem number for that piece of pipe
of fitting.
Or choose Select All from the
menu, then choose Pipe and Fit-
tings which will highlight your
drawing in blue, indicating the
items are selected to be moved.
When the fitting and pipe
are displayed in blue, move
the drawing with the num-
ber pad keys or the arrow
keys. Press enter when the
drawing is relocated.
Select Zoom Window from the alternate menu, in order
to draw a box around the area you want to Zoom into.

The + shaped cursor has
been used to draw a box
around the area you want
to Zoom to, by holding
down and dragging with
the mouse.
This is a view of my Zoom window, which has been
placed around the BOM.
To resize to the whole screen, se-
lect Zoom Out.Use the keystroke combination ofControl - E to display
the Edit BOM screen right from the drawing screen.

Codes, Heat Numbers, MTR Numbers, & PMI num-
bers.
The Bill Of Material items can be sorted as itemized orsummarized.

Control - T allows you to display the Edit Weld Tag screen.
Note that this drawing, has mostly TH fittings, and has only one weld
on it, which is an olet weld.
Click on the blank space under the Welder ID header to type the
Welder ID into the space for each weld.
Click on the Insp1, Insp2, or Insp3, space to type the inspection in-
formation for that item into the spaces available.
