On behalf of the City of Atlantic City, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series. We welcome all of the athletes, whether it is a ­rst race or a personal goal to qualify for the Boston Marathon, as well as their ardent supporters of family and friends, to the world famous Boardwalk.

It is my pleasure to welcome the Atlantic City Marathon Race Series back for another year. I am very proud to be a supporter of an organization which promotes challenging oneself, respecting the legacy of the sport, and racing for a cause.

By choosing Atlantic City as a stop for one of the qualifying competitions in pursuit of such a prestigious marathon, you are declaring Atlantic City as a world-class destination as well as a platform for successful sporting events. Running with a Pace Team The AmeriHealth NJ Atlantic City Marathon and Half Marathon Pace Team is sponsored by Cooper Health Systems. Pace Team members are experienced runners who can help you reach your goal finish time. This is free and open to any runner who wishes to join the Pace Team. Both Full Marathoners and Half Marathoners will run with the same Pacer. The Full and Half Marathoners run the same course for the first 11 miles of the race. Half Marathon runners will split from the Cooper Health Systems Pace Team at the Half Marathon Turn Around and return to the Finish Line.
