Our heartfelt gratitude to the following people who made this work possible;

The Industrialist, the official publication of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University for lending us the necessary technical equipments for our shoot, the Almario and Malang family for providing us a place to shoot, our family and friends for providing us limitless support in accomplishment of this project, as well as the people whom we might fail to mention their name, but have taken part in the conception and execution of this project, our everlasting thanks.

II. List of Members:

Bolos, Denny France

Maniago, Robin

Namit, John Reinjoe

III. Introduction which includes the concept of the project, reason/s why you’ve chosen the topic, instructional objective when the project is used in teaching:

The story is dual sided. We try to as much as we can, to portray poverty and how education or the lack of it affects life in general. The story does not explicitly teach the audience the impact of the aforementioned factors, which is the correlation of poverty and education. We promote higher order thinking skills; that is, allowing the audience to infer the message being presented. We have chosen to present this topic because this is one of the pressing issues of today.

IV. Statement of the contribution of each member.

a. Almario, Krelly – Played the role of Gilmark’s friend and confidante.

b. Aquino, Charles Jhon – Wrote a part of the script, played the teacher of Gilmark’s class.

c. Bolos, Denny – Technical Personnel, helped with the whole production.

d. Calma, Gil Mark – Played one of the central characters in the story, a student.

e. Malang, Kimberly – Played Gilmark’s counterpart in the story, a prostitute.

f. Maniago, Robin – Played Kimberly’s customer, collaborated with Reinjoe with the technical work.

g. Namit, John Reinjoe – Behind the scenes, wrote the rest of the script, concentrated more of the technical work.

I wish to emphasize that behind the success of the production is the collaborative effort of all the members of the group, equally putting love and time for its completion.

V. Learning experience/s in making the project

Cooperation is always the key in any group project. We are lucky that we had the pleasure of working together for this project. It has tested our temperance when things go wrong, be it human or technical. We learn to forgive each other’s fault. We learn to accept the diversity of attitude of the members of the group. The issue which we prefer to present is happening in reality, and we learn how people can really struggle to overcome poverty through education and what poverty can do to someone who lacks education and what love and compassion can do to bridge the seemingly huge gap between the two concepts.

VI. Strengths and weaknesses of the project

The project portrays real life scenarios that the audience can easily relate to. I think the group was able to present the scenes as

realistic as possible. The short story can be used in teaching values education and other social science subjects that would have poverty as a topic. These are the primary strength of the project. Poverty has always been a favorite topic in short films, thus its weakness lays there, the element of something new and different is not achieved.
