Netaji Subhas Chandra Bosestands out as a restless anddynamic force in India's freedommovement during Gandhi's time.This was a time when people choseto follow his path of peaceful non-violent non-cooperation. Bengalvoiced its protest militantly andSubhas Chandra Bose was a trueson of Bengal. India wasawakening to its national identityand Netaji marshaled foreign aidand sympathy for this cause. Hisplans met with several hurdles ashe was pitted againstcircumstances beyond his control.His was a lost battle, perhaps evena lost life. But as events haveproved, not a lost cause.
