What did we do?
• Followed example from Liverpool Council
Removed loads of pages that weren’t looked at Shortened and simplified the pages (cut the
waffle and council speak) Focussed on Top Tasks - based on data from:
• Google analytics and SOCITM exit survey• Contact centre call volumes
• Angry birds“We need an app!!”
RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN
So… we went responsive(not an app!)
• Saved money - no app development
• No ongoing costs
• No submissions to various app stores
• Device independent
• Update once
• Whole site can be accessed from mobile
