the chocolate.

3) Then, put the

Shredded Wheat into

the bowl.

4) Next, stir the bowl.

5) Finally, put the

mixture in the cases.

Linking with their work on explorers, Year 2 have been producing fish paintings

where they have explored the under-water world of the sea. They also all made clay,

arctic animals when exploring the arctic and thinking about survival skills needed in

this region.

Congratulations to

Emily on completing

her Level 1 Learn to

Swim Award. Also,

well done to Paige on

success at

majorettes.

Year 1 have been writing instructions about making their own

Easter treats. Ace and Corey proudly brought their work to share

as they had been working excellently independently and

remembering all the features of instruction writing. Sounds

delicious. Well done!

Callum has

been having

some

success

counting in

2s from

different

numbers.

As Leon travelled through the magic box, he felt extremely dizzy. "Will this ever end?" He cried to himself. At last he was at the end of the box. As he climbed out of it, two girls stood there. Who were these girls? Were they spies, goblins or even bloody thirsty vampires? Leon didn't want to be rude, so he politely asked, "Urm excuse me, who are you?" He waited for a response. Both girls looked at him and then at the box. "I'm Molly and this is Lisa, we got trapped in here by that stupid magician," one said.

Year 3 have

been

producing art

work inspired

by rivers.

Here are some

examples by

Dylan Ronan

and Kristina

Kurilec.

Year 3 and 4 really enjoyed their

science experiment where they

were attempting to discover

which fizzy drink contained the

most gas.

Year 3 and 4 loved their trips to the River

Otter this week.

Apart from some over-flowing wellies,

everyone enjoyed being in the water and

self-managing their own risks.

On Thursday 1st March, at Whipton Barton

Federation in Exeter, school children were

ecstatic about the snow that Storm Emma

had brought. Mr Read decided to open the

school until 1:15 whilst over 300 schools

across Devon were closed! The children and

staff were occupied for the morning having

snowball fights, breaking the iced pond and

having fun with their friends but best of all it

was World Book Day!

KS2 best

attending

class: 5P

Year 5 enjoyed a morning at St James School learning all about

the production of tea and meeting two Fairtrade farmers from

Kenya. They even got to taste the tea - some of them liked it

more than others! They now know how important it is to buy

Fairtrade products to make sure the farmers are paid a fair

wage and have access to fresh water and education.

Everlyn enjoyed dressing up at the event!

As part of their Ancient

Egyptian topic, Y5 and 6

enjoyed mummifying

oranges. They now have to

wait for the process to take

place before they can see

the final result!

Lily- Patience in

5P was inspired

by the recent

snowfall and

wrote a lovely

introduction to a

newspaper

article. Well done

Lily-Patience!

Lily Mallon in 5C produced this great piece

of mathematical thinking to prove why 0.9

is the same as 90% and not 9%.

Well done Lily!

A big thank you to the

children for producing

such great work for

their Egyptian

Showcase and thanks

to all the parents who

came along too!
