Dorflinger glass Museum
The Dorflinger Glass Museum houses one
of the largest collections of Dorflinger
glass on public display. The museum’s
2021 special exhibit is: Treasures from
the June Dorflinger Hardy Collection.
Dorflinger Factory Museum
The Dorflinger Factory Museum includes
exhibits on the history of the Dorflinger
companies in Brooklyn, NY and White
Mills, PA, the glass making process, and
how the glass was used in American
society in the late nineteenth and early
twentieth centuries. These exhibits include
glass blowing, cutting, and engraving
equipment from the factory’s operation,
and operating engraving and cutting
equipment for working demonstrations.
Museum exhibits also include the re-
creation of an 1895 dining room with a
table setting of glassware in Dorflinger’s
Parisian pattern. Finally, the museum is
home to a premier collection of Dorflinger
glass, including the extensive collection of
Dorflinger glass assembled over a lifetime
by glass expert Ray LaTournous.
1867 glassworker’s House
The fifth in the line of seven houses built
in 1866 to 1867 by Christian Dorflinger
for the families of skilled workers. The
house is restored to its 1875 appearance.

Mr. Asselstine will discuss the variety of art glass lines produced by the Dorflingercompanies and their subsidiary, the Honesdale Decorating Company, from 1901 until theclosing of the Dorflinger factory in 1921. Mr. Asselstine will highlight the Museum’s recentspecial exhibit of a dining room set with Dorflinger’s Kalana art glass.

An American Brilliant Period cut glass dealer show will be held in the Dorflinger CuttingShop at the Dorflinger Factory Museum on Saturday and Sunday. The show will featureseven outstanding cut glass dealers. The glass dealer show is sponsored and vetted by theAmerican Cut Glass Association.
The show is open to the public, with a $5.00 per person admission charge. Admission to theshow is free for Brilliant Weekend registrants.
