Our Vision The 2001 Legislature granted us the ability to establish a charitable giving program to promote civic goodwill and enhance the success of selected worthwhile causes in Montana. Eligibility All contributions will be a dollar-for-dollar match. Source of dollar match must be identified on the application form. Organizations must be a qualifying non-profit, tax-exempt organization based in Montana. Grants will not be given to individuals, fraternal, political or labor organizations. Grant requests from organizations with religious connection may be funded if the grant will be used for a secular rather than religious function. If the grant is being used for an activity or event, MSF will review all advertising before the event and be given the opportunity to identify opportunities to promote MSF, including use of the MSF logo in appropriate circumstances. Application Process All requests must be submitted on a MSF application form or by applying online. Applications that are not properly completed will not be given consideration. To access forms or to apply online go to our website www.montanastatefund.com, call MSF, or write us at Montana State Fund, PO Box 4759, Helena, MT 59604-4759. Applications for grants will be reviewed and awarded by the MSF ACE Committee on a quarterly basis. The Committee has the right to determine which grants fit the MSF philosophy. A full list of ACE grantees can be accessed on our website. Criteria The program fits within the scope of Montana State Fund’s (MSF) normal business and operations: grantee promotes workplace safety, safety trainings, or assistance with the purchase of equipment that enhances safety and community well- being. The program will result in widespread benefit for a Montana community or the state as a whole. The program benefits a representative cross section of small and large communities across Montana.
