A Specific Condition I The total land requirement for the

project shall be restricted to 255.6 acres. VIPL had presented the land requirement for the Project as 225 Acres and 80 Acres for the Railway siding. However, during the detailed survey for the Railway siding, it was found that the earlier proposed route was not feasible due to involvement of defence land, forestland and transmission lines passing through the above land. Therefore, an additional land of 180 Acres was needed for circumventing and final approval & Rail traffic clearance was obtained accordingly from Central Railways. Additional 50 Acres of land for the Project and Ash Pond for Phase II was reflected in the Application and presented to the EAC of MoEF during Phase-II (1X300 MW) Environment Clearance. Accordingly, Phase II EC was granted.

II The R&R for the project affected people including those due to the corridor shall be carried out as per the norms and guidelines of the state Government.

The Govt. of Maharashtra in the notified MIDC area allotted the land for the Project. Therefore, there are no Project affected people. The land acquired for railway siding was mainly private land and there were no houses and habitants. The land was purchased from the landowners on mutually accepted terms and conditions. Incase any R&R is required in future the same shall be addressed as per the R& R policy of Maharashtra Government.

III Sulphur and Ash content in the coal to be used in the project shall not exceed 0.7 % and 41.6 % respectively.

Complied.

IV A bi-flue gas of not less than 220 m height with continuous online monitoring equipments for SOx, NOx, Mercury and PM shall be provided. Exit velocity of flue gases shall not be less than 20m/sec.

Single plume Stack with 220-M height is provided for 1x300 MW Power Plant with Continuous online monitoring equipment for monitoring of PM, SO2 and NOX. Exit Velocity is maintained not less than 20 M/Sec at Top.

V High Efficiency Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPs) shall be installed to ensure that particulate emission does not exceed 50 mg/Nm3.

High Efficiency Electrostatic Precipitators are provided and particulate emission limit of less than 50 mg/Nm3 is maintained.

VI Fly ash shall be collected in dry form and storage facility (silos) shall be provided. Fly ash shall be used in phased manner as

per provision of the notification on fly ash utilization issued by the Ministry in September, 1999 and its amendment. By the end of 9th year full fly ash utilization should be ensured. Unutilized fly ash shall be disposed off in the ash pond in the form of High concentration slurry and the bottom ash in conventional slurry mode.

VII Ash pond shall be lined with suitable impermeable lining. Adequate safety measures shall also be implemented to protect the ash dyke from getting breached.

Complied. Ash pond lining is done with black cotton soil as per the recommendations of the leaching study conducted by M/s. Central Institute Of Mining & Fuel Research, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. Adequate Safety measures are implemented to protect the ash dyke from breaching.

VIII Adequate dust extraction system such as cyclones/bag filter and water spray system in dusty areas such as in coal handling and ash handling points, transfer areas and other vulnerable dusty areas shall be provided.

Complied VIPL has provided dust extraction system in Crusher House, Wagon Tippler, bag filter in silos, water sprinkling system in coal storage areas.

IX Water requirement shall not exceed 25.5 mld. No ground water shall be extracted for any activity of the power project including construction phase of the project.

Complied. Water utilization is maintained less than 25.5mld. No ground water extraction was envisaged for the project construction and operation phase. MIDC supplied water was only used during the construction phase of the Project. MIDC Supplied water is being used in Operation phase of the plant.

X Closed cycle cooling system with cooling tower shall be provided. COC of 6.0 shall be adopted. The effluent shall be treated to conform to the prescribed norms.

COC of 6 to 6.5 is maintained and complied. The effluent is being treated to conform to the prescribed norms.

XI The treated effluents conforming to the prescribed standard shall be re-circulated and reused with in plant. There shall be no discharge outside plant boundary except during monsoon for storm water. Arrangement shall be made so that effluent and storm water do not get mixed.

Effluent treatment Plant is provided to ensure that there is no discharge from the plant except storm water during monsoon. Separate drainage system is provided for Storm water system. The treated water is reused in process and Horticulture purpose within the plant.

XII A sewage treatment plant shall be

provided and the treated sewage shall be used for raising greenbelt / plantation.

Complied A sewage treatment plant of 40 CMD capacity is provided and the treated sewage is used for Greenbelt /Plantation.

XIII Regular monitoring of ground water in and around the ash pond area shall be carried out, records maintained and six monthly reports shall be furnished to the Regional Office of this Ministry.

Regular monitoring of ground water in and around the plant area is done and records are maintained. Six monthly reports are being submitted regularly to MPCB, MoEF and CPCB.

XIV The storm water drainage shall be so designed and linked to the surface drainage so as to preserve the natural drainage of the area.

Storm water drainage study report has been prepared by CWPRS, Pune. Accordingly, various drainage through plant has been channelized as per the recommendations of CWPRS report and complied.

XV Rainwater harvesting shall be adopted. Central Groundwater Authority Board shall be consulted for finalization of appropriate rainwater harvesting technology within a period of three months from the date of clearance and details shall be furnished.

Detailed Rainwater harvesting study has been conducted in consultation with CGWA. The report of the same was approved vide letter no. CGWA/CR/GW/Abs/Ind/2008/3989 dated 02/12/2008 and submitted to MoEF in July 2009. Admin building terrace is the catchment area as per the rainwater harvesting scheme and implemented accordingly.

XVI Green belt of adequate width and density shall be developed around the plant periphery covering about 66 acres of project area preferably with local species.

VIPL has identified land for developing greenbelt as per MoEF guidelines in phase I & II and accordingly plantation has already been developed at 86 acre and complied the requirement.

XVII Leq of Noise levels emanating from turbines shall be limited to 75 dBA. For people working in the high noise area, requisite personal protective equipment like earplugs/ear muffs etc. shall be provided. Workers engaged in noisy areas such as turbine area, air compressors etc shall be periodically examined to maintain audiometric record and for treatment for any hearing loss including shifting to non noisy/less noisy areas.

Complied. Engg. Control measures are taken to control noise. Also, Earplugs and Ear muffs are provided to all the people working in high noise areas. Workers engaged in noisy areas like TG, Compressors are periodically examined and the records of the same are maintained.

month and shall be implemented effectively. Necessary allocation of funds for the same shall be made and included in the project cost.

Clearance conditions and waiting for approval of PCCF. Necessary allocations of funds have been made in the Plan.

XIX Regular monitoring of ground level concentration of S02, NOx, PM2.5 & PM10 and Hg shall be carried out in the impact zone and records maintained. If at any stage these levels are found to exceed the prescribed limits, necessary control measures shall be provided immediately. The location of the monitoring stations and frequency of monitoring shall be decided in consultation with SPCB. There should be one monitoring station in the pre-dominant downwind direction at a distance of about 2.5km where the maximum ground level concentration due to emission from stack is likely to occur. Six monthly reports shall be submitted to Regional Office of this Ministry at Bhopal/SPCB/CPCB.

Regular monitoring of the ground level concentration of S02, NOx, PM2.5 & PM10, Hg, Pb and CO is being carried out and records are maintained. The location of the monitoring stations and frequency of monitoring was decided in consultation with MPCB. CAAQMS systems were installed at three locations as suggested by MPCB. CEMS system with opacity meters was also provided for continuous monitoring of stack emission and connected to CPCB server. Also Online Effluent Monitoring System installed at ETP as per CPCB guidelines and connected to CPCB Server. Six monthly reports are being submitted regularly to MoEF, MPCB and CPCB.

XX Appropriate safeguard measure shall be taken to guard against fire hazards in coal storage area. DMP shall be prepared to handle such situation.

All Fire Safety precautions are taken at the Coal storage areas. DMP has been prepared and submitted to Factory Inspector identifying the hazards, Safety precautions and all the appropriate safeguard measures are being implemented. Periodical Mock drills and action plans for Risk Management and is in place.

XXI Storage facilities for auxiliary liquid fuel such as LDO and/HFO/LSHS shall be made in the plant area where risk is minimum to the storage facility. Adequate arrangement for risk management shall be made in the Disaster Management Plan for the same. Mock drills shall be conducted regularly as planned.

An LDO and HFO storage tanks had been installed with all required fire detection and protection system. License for the storage area has been granted by PESO, vide License No: P/HQ/MH/15/ 6068 (P250859), dt 18/01/2013. DMP is prepared and submitted to Factory Inspector identifying the hazards, Safety precautions and all the appropriate safeguard measures are being implemented. Periodical Mock drills and action plans for Risk Management is in place.

XXII The project proponent shall advertise in

at least two local newspaper widely circulated in the region around the project, one of which shall be in the vernacular language of the locally concerned within seven days from the date of this clearance letter , informing that the project has been accorded environmental clearance and copies of clearance letter are available with the State Pollution Control Board/Committee and also be seen at Website of the Ministry of Environment and forest at http://envfor.nic.in.

Complied and intimated to MoEF vide letter No. VIPL/NGP/MoEF/08/42 dt. October 22, 2008.

XXIII A separate Environment Management Cell with qualified staff shall be set up for implementation of the stipulated environmental safeguards.

Complied. Environment Management Department with qualified and adequate staff has been set up for implementation of the Environment Management Plan.

XXIV Half yearly reports on the status of the implementation of the stipulated environmental safeguards to this Ministry/RO/CPCB/SPCB.

Half-yearly compliance reports are regularly submitted to MoEF, MPCB and CPCB.

The last such Half yearly report was submitted vide letter dated 02.07.2016 for the period of Jan16 to June16.

XXV Regional Office of the Ministry of Environment & Forests shall monitor the implementation of the stipulated conditions. A complete set of documents including Environmental Impact Assessment Report and Environment Management Plan along with the additional information submitted from time to time shall be forwarded to the Regional Office for their use during monitoring.

XXVII The project authorities shall inform the Regional Office as well as the Ministry regarding the date of financial closure and final approval of the project by the concerned authorities and the dates of start of land development work and commissioning of plant.

VIPL has achieved the Financial closure on July 24, 2009 and lead Banker is Axis Bank. The same has been informed to MoEF with our submission of 3rd Six monthly compliance report dated December 17, 2009.

XXVIII Full cooperation shall be extended to the Scientists/Officers from the Ministry / Regional Office of the Ministry at Bhopal I CPCSI SPCS who would be monitoring the compliance of environmental status.

The proponent shall upload the status of compliance of the stipulated environmental clearance conditions, including results of monitored data on their website and shall update the same periodically. It shall simultaneously be sent to the Regional Office of MOEF at Bhopal, the respective Zonal Office of CPCB and the SPCB. The criteria pollutant levels namely; SPM, RSPM (PM2.5 & PM10), S02, NOx (ambient levels as well as stack emissions) shall be displayed at a convenient location near the main gate of the company in the public domain.

v. COC of 6.0 shall be adopted and report

submitted within 3 months of operation of the plant.

COC of 6.0 to 6.5 is maintained and complied. The effluent is being treated to conform to the prescribed norms.

vi. Closed cycle cooling system with natural draft cooling towers shall be provided. The effluent shall be treated as per the prescribed norms. The treated effluent conforming to the prescribed standards only shall be recirculated and reused within the plant. There shall be no discharge outside the plant boundary except during monsoon. Arrangements shall be made that effluent and storm water do not get mixed. A sewage treatment plant shall be provided and the treated sewage shall be used for raising green belt/plantation.

While placing application for EC, it was clearly mentioned in submitted document that Induced Draft Cooling Tower will be provided and it was also presented before EAC at the time of presentation on February 13, 2010.

Noted for compliance. A sewage treatment plant of sufficient capacity 40CMD is provided and the treated sewage is used for greenbelt/ Plantation.

vii. Regular monitoring of ground water level shall be carried out by establishing a network of existing wells and constructing new piezometers. Monitoring around the ash pond area shall be carried out particularly for heavy metals (Hg, Cr, As, Pb) and records maintained and data submitted to the Regional Office of this Ministry. The data so obtained shall be compared with the baseline data so as to ensure that the ground water quality is not adversely affected due to the project.

viii. The proponent shall ensure that natural drainage in the area shall not be disturbed due to activities associated with operation of the plant.

Status of implementation shall be reported to the Regional Office of the Ministry from time to time. Unutilized fly ash shall be disposed off in the ash pond in the form of slurry form. Mercury and other heavy metals (As, Hg, Cr, Pb etc.) shall be monitored in the bottom ash as also in the effluents emanating from the existing ash pond. No ash shall be disposed off in low lying area.

xi. Ash pond shall be lined with HDP/LDP lining or any other suitable impermeable media so that no leachate takes place at any point of time. Adequate safety measures shall also be implemented to protect the ash dyke from getting breached.

xii. For disposal of Bottom Ash in abandoned mines (if proposed to be undertaken) it shall be ensured that the bottom and sides of the mined out areas are adequately lined with clay before Bottom Ash is filled up. The project proponent shall inform the State Pollution Control Board well in advance before undertaking the activity.

Bottom Ash was disposed in the abandoned earth quarry at Borkhedi by complying all the NOC conditions granted by MPCB.

check/minimize spontaneous fires in coal yard, especially during summer season. Copy of these measures with full details along with location plant layout shall be submitted to the Ministry as well as to the Regional Office of the Ministry.

DMP is prepared identifying the hazards, Safety precautions, Periodical Mock drills and action plans for Risk Management and is in place.

xiv. Storage facilities for auxiliary liquid fuel such as LDO and/ HFO/LSHS shall be made in the plant area in consultation with Department of Explosives, Nagpur. Sulphur content in the liquid fuel will not exceed 0.5%. Disaster Management Plan shall be prepared to meet any eventuality in case of an accident taking place due to storage of oil including fire and explosion in boilers and turbines. Reliability analysis of high pressure instruments/equipments shall be periodically carried out and corrective measures taken to prevent any fire and explosion hazards. Location of the turbines may be decided in such a way that the impact of fire and explosion does not cross the plant boundary. Mock drills shall be conducted regularly and based on the same, modifications required, if any shall be incorporated in the DMP.

LDO and HFO storage tanks had been installed with all required fire detection and protection system. License for the storage area has been granted by PESO, vide License No: P/HQ/MH/15/ 6068(P250859),dt 18/01/2013. DMP is prepared identifying the hazards, Safety precautions, Periodical Mock drills and action plans for Risk Management and is in place.

xv. Green belt consisting of 3 tiers of plantations of native species around plant and at least 100 m width shall be raised. Wherever 100 m width is not feasible a 50 m width shall be raised and adequate justification shall be submitted to the Ministry. Tree density shall not less than 2500 per ha with survival rate not less than 70 %.

VIPL has identified land for developing greenbelt as per MoEF guidelines in phase I & II and accordingly plantation has already been developed at 86 acre and complied the requirement.

xvii. Noise levels emanating from turbines shall be so controlled such that the noise in the work zone shall be limited to 75 dBA. For people working in the high noise area, requisite personal protective equipment like earplugs/ear muffs etc. shall be provided. Workers engaged in noisy areas such as turbine area, air compressors etc shall be periodically examined to maintain audiometric record and for treatment for any hearing loss including shifting to non noisy/less noisy areas.

Engg. Control measures are taken to limit the noise level. Also, Earplugs and Ear muffs are provided to all the people working in high nose areas. Workers engaged in noisy areas like TG, Compressors are periodically examined and the records of the same are maintained.

xviii. A good action plan for R&R (if applicable) with package for the project affected persons be submitted and implemented as per prevalent R&R policy within three months from the date of issue of this letter.

The Govt. of Maharashtra in the notified MIDC area allotted the land for the Project. Therefore, there are no Project affected people. The land acquired for railway siding was mainly private land and there were no houses and habitants. The land was purchased from the landowners on mutually accepted terms and conditions. In case any R&R is required in future, the same shall be addressed as per the R& R policy of Maharashtra Government.

xix. An amount of Rs 12.0 Crores shall be earmarked as one time capital cost for CSR programme. Subsequently a recurring expenditure of Rs 2.5 Crores per annum shall be earmarked as recurring expenditure for CSR activities. Details of the activities to be undertaken shall be submitted within one month along with road map for implementation.

Detailed CSR plan based on need-based survey conducted was submitted by Society for All Round Development, (SARD) NGO based at Delhi. Budget for the same is allocated for 2.82 Crores and implementation is in progress.

xx. As part of CSR programme the company shall conduct need based assessment for the nearby villages to study economic measures with action plan which can help in upliftment of poor section of

society. Income generating projects consistent with the traditional skills of the people besides development of fodder farm, fruit bearing orchards, vocational training etc. can form a part of such programme. Company shall provide separate budget for community development activities and income generating programmes. This will be in addition to vocational training for individuals imparted to take up self employment and jobs.

xxi. Provision shall be made for the housing of construction Labour within the site with all necessary infrastructure and facilities such as fuel for cooking, mobile toilets, mobile STP, safe drinking water, medical health care, creche etc. The housing may be in the form of temporary structures to be removed after the completion of the project.

B. General conditions i. Regular monitoring of ground level

concentration of S02, NOx, PM2.5 & PM10 and Hg shall be carried out in the impact zone and records maintained. If at any stage these levels are found to exceed the prescribed limits, necessary control measures shall be provided immediately. The location of the monitoring stations and frequency of monitoring shall be decided in consultation with SPCB. Periodic reports shall be submitted to the Regional Office of this Ministry. The data shall also be put on the website of the company.

Regular monitoring of the ground level concentration of S02, NOx, PM2.5 & PM10, Hg, Pb and CO is being carried out and records are maintained. The location of the monitoring stations and frequency of monitoring was decided in consultation with MPCB. CAAQMS were installed at three locations as suggested by MPCB. CEMS system with opacity meters was also provided for continuous monitoring of stack emission and connected to CPCB server. Six monthly reports are being submitted regularly to MoEF, MPCB and CPCB.

environmental safeguards. Management Plan.

iii. The project proponent shall submit six monthly reports on the status of the implementation of the stipulated environmental safeguards to the Ministry of Environment and Forests, its Regional Office, Central Pollution Control Board and State Pollution Control Board. The project proponent shall upload the status of compliance of the environment of the environmental clearance conditions on their website and update the same periodically and simultaneously send the same bye-mail to the Regional Office, Ministry of Environment and Forests.

Half-yearly compliance reports are regularly submitted to MoEF, MPCB and CPCB. The last such Half yearly report was submitted vide letter dated 02.07.2016 for the period of 1st Jan 2016 – 31st June 2016

iv. Regional Office of the Ministry of Environment & Forests shall monitor the implementation of the stipulated conditions. A complete set of documents including Environmental Impact Assessment Report and Environment Management Plan along with the additional information submitted from time to time shall be forwarded to the Regional Office for their use during monitoring. Project proponent will up-load the compliance status in their website and up-date the same from time to time at least six monthly basis. Criteria pollutants levels including NOx (from stack & ambient air) shall be displayed at the main gate of the power plant.

A complete set of EIA & EMP report has been already submitted to regional office for future monitoring & implementation of stipulated conditions. SCHOOL BAG DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM.

To encourage students to attend school and to support “ Sarwa Shikha Abhayan” School Bag distribution program was held on 22.July.,2016 in Z.P.School, Bharkas. Inauguration of program was done by enlighten lamp by the chief guest. The chief guest of this programe was Mr.Sanjay Jumale.( General Manager) andMr.Karunesh Mishra GM (Finance).The Programm was inugrated by Mr.Sanjay Jumle .

Mr.Vithal Ghode.(Head Master) welcomed the guests and gave an introductory speech and praised the CSR initiative of Vidarbha industries power ltd in the field of Education .

Introductory speech was given by Mr. Anand Ingle (SARD) he Explained CSR project undertaken by Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd.and vision & mission of company’s CSR. VIPL is working nearly in 14 villages. He explained the various programs being conducted in Education . Mr.Sanjay.Jumale in his speech encouraged students to study hard and progress in life. In this program total 1195 bags were distributed to 15 Zp schools.Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Anand Ingle.

In this program Mrs.Malati Agarkar and Rahul Miglani Manager (HR) were prominently present on this occasion.

Blood Donation Initiatives.

Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd in association with Dr. Hedagewar

Blood Bank. Nagpur. Organized a blood donation camp in VIPL campus. The blood donation camp was undertaken under group csr initiative of VIPL in found memory of their beloved founder chairman, Shri. Dhirubai Ambani. The programme aim was to inspire people to come forward to donate blood and to save life. The blood donation camp formally inaugurated by Mr. Ashesh Padhy.(Station Director) VIPL. In this program total 220 employees donated blood.

Malaria Control through fogging:

As part of our CSR initiative we are doing Fogging in 15 villages in phased manner near to the plant . On 27.07.2016 and 28.07.2016 fogging was conducted at Ganeshpur. Ghodeghat. Ajangaon., Waranga., Khapri villages .

The objective of the program was to control Malaria and Dangue causing mosquito. VIPL has its own Fogging machine With this initiative we drastically reduced the Malaria and Dangue Cases . Fogging is one of preventive action for malaria and Dangue.

Self Help Group Workshop.

SARD & Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd., Butibori. Organized self Help group workshop at Ganeshpur. on 27 July.2016. at ZP School hall. SHG members are saving money regularly, They are utilizing the fund for group interlarding and properly maintaining the record. To enhance the knowledge of the S.H.G. members workshop on “entrepreneurship “and record keeping.

Introductory speech given by Mr. Anand. Ingle. Project coordinator gave the information how to set the business. He explained about how to link SHG’s with bank loan. He informed about the rules for obtain the loan under government scheme. He was also gave information about cash book, meeting book, pass book, balance sheet.

Students Health Check up

A free health check-up camp was conducted on 27 July. 2016 for students in Zilla Parishad School. In namely villages. Gondwana, Pipri, Mandwa, under VIPL Corporate Social Responsibility project.

From last four year’s we were conducting this health check up campaign. This program was conducted in 3 schools benefitting 138 students. A general health check-up camp was carried out to facilitate early detection of deficiencies and general health of children.

Out of 191enrolled students, 138 were diagnosed in the camp in first phase. Common problems included worms, vitamin deficiency, calcium deficiency, fever, cold and cough, Blood Group check. Also three students were referring to PHC for treatment.

Dr.Chetna. Dhurve.& Mrs. Priti Labortory Attendance. P.H.C. Takalghat checked and counseled the students. At this time medicine was provide to students for miner disease.

Adolescent capacity building Program.

We were Organized a Adolescent capacity building Program. On27th.July. 2016.. At .Ganeshpur. in Z. P. School to which 50 adolescent girls attended the program.

The objective was to build capacity regarding Social awareness, .Personal Sanitation& Nutrition.

In beginning of the program Mrs. K.V. Vasu ( PHC Takalghat) present the national song. She had guided on concept of teen age. What changes takes place in in human body. She discussed about the misconception associated with health problems and importance of balanced diet, health and personal hygiene.

Self Help Group Workshop

SARD & Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd organized self Help group workshop held on.19-Aug-2016 at Parsodi Village. The objective of the program was to enable women to become self reliant, develop inter personal skill and recognize the importance of the role and the contribute they can make society.

Hand Writing Competition.

Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd under their CSR initiative Organised essay competition program from 4-Aug 2016 & 14 Aug. 2016 in which students of 15 Zp schools participated.

Total students 342 were diagnosed in the camp in first phase. Common problems included Height, weight, worm’s vitamin deficiency, calcium deficiency, fever, cold and cough, Blood Group were checked. Also three students were referred to PHC Takalghat for further treatment.This is an ongoing activity in which all Zp schools of 14 villages of our identified project area

will be covered.

Adolescent capacity building Program.

Vidarbha industries Power Ltd organized a Adolescent capacity building Program on 23 Aug. 2016 at Gondwana village in which 30 adolescent girls attended the program.

The objective of the program was capacity building Social awareness and Personal Sanitation & Nutrition.

The Programm Introduction was given by Ms.Vaishali in which she explaed about the CSR Programms undertaken by Vidarbha industries Power Ltd. Mrs. Usha. Bende. From the NGO (Ecumenical Sangam) Expained about the problems faced by the teen aged girls. What changes gets takes place during teen age especially physical changes. She discussed about the misconception associated with health problems and importance of balance and diet, health and personal hygiene And further she had guided on role and

Malaria Control through Fogging:

As part of our CSR initiative we are doing Fogging in 15 villages in phased manner near to the plant . On 05-Aug-2016 & 20-Aug-2016 at sawangi, Asola, khapri, Gondwana, Pipri villages.

The objective of the program was to control Malaria and Dangue causing mosquito. VIPL has its own Fogging machine With this initiative we drastically reduced the Malaria and Dangue Cases . Fogging is one of preventive action for malaria and Dangue.

In Independence day celebrations the village children demonstrated the CSR initiatives of Vidarbha industries power Ltd . in this program the students of Zp school Beed Ganeshpur and bharkas demonstrated the work done in the villages such as School bag Distribution, Sweater Distribution, fogging , Tree plantations , Health and Hygiene and Blood donations.in this program Asha workers also praised our initiatives of distribution of Asha Kits and Support to the Pulse Polio Abhayan.

ASHA TRAINING

Vidarbha industries Power Ltd organized a ASHA Workers capacity building Program on 29- Aug.- 2016 at PHC Takalghat in which 29 ASHA attended the program.

The objective of the program was to build Capacity building of ASHA workers. With this program ASHA workers will undergo series of training programs to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and confidence for performing her role.

Health Camp Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd (Reliance Power) in association with Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural hospital Sawangi Wardha Conducted Medical Health camp at Public Health Centre Takalghat the Camp was inaugurated by honorable MLA of Hingna Butibori Shri Sameer Meghe and Station Director of Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd (Reliance Power)

Shri Sameer Meghe MLA (Hingna) praised the work done by Reliance Power in renovating Public health Centre which we can say is as good as a Private Nursing Home and also praised Reliance Power for their plans of distributing cycles to encourage the “Beti Bacao Beti Padao” Goverment scheme.

Shri Ashesh Padhy Station director in his speech said that as part of our CSR initiative Health and Education is our prime responsibility and also stressed on Govt of India initiative on “swatch Bharat Abhayan “ he also expressed his happiness on spending around Rs. 25 Lakh in making PHC Takalghat

In this camp various treatments were carried out such as Eye test, ENT, gynecology, ECG, Skin Test, Ortho, etc free of cost in which total 1563 villagers participated. Free medicines were distributed to the needy. Critical cases were referred to Acharya Vinoba Bhave Rural hospital Sawangi Wardha for further treatment.

Health & Hygine Programme.

As part of our CSR, initiative under employee volunteering scheme. Vidarbha industries Power Ltd, organized health & hygiene awareness programme . The objective of this programme was to increase awareness regarding Brest cancer. This Programme was held on 16 Sep, 2016 at community hall Takalghat In this program Dr.Mrs Ashwini Budhe wife of our employee Mr.Ravi Budhe , brought awareness about breast cancer, uterine cancer & general hygiene women & sign and symbol & prevention from these disease. Dr.Ayodhya Bais, Dr. Suchita Manurkar (Medical Officer), Mrs. Priti Shirpurkar.( Laboratory Attendance P.H.C. Takalghat ) checked and counseled the students. As per the Requirement medicines were also provided to students for minor diseases.

SARD & Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd organized self Help group workshop held on.19-Sep-2016 at Ganeshpur Village. The objective of this program was to promote empowerment process and livelihood strategies of SCG’s .

In this program Mrs. Alka Zade Social Worker gave information about Bank Linkages, offer credit support, providing capacity building skills. She also explained about various government schemes associated with SHG’s In the workshops 21 SHG members were present. Lastly vote of thanks given by Vaishali Satunkar.

Teachers Training program.

A two days teachers training program was conducted for teachers from 14 Z.P. school held on17 & 18 Oct.2016 at the Butibori Manufacture’s Association Hall in which total 23 teachers attended the program. The objective of the program was to enhance knowledge, practical experience and skill of the teachers . The two days training was divided broadly into three sessions. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Sanjay Jumle. G.M(CSR).

Mrs. Sayeed (Resource Person) conducted the first session in which she asked the teachers about the difficulty faced by them in teaching and all the doubts of the teachers were cleared . During training program she also covered difficult topics such as punctuation, grammar and first level child

On second day of training program, Mr, Pramod Zatale (Resource Person) guided on mathematic importance, concept of teaching methods, remedial class structure. He had also taught the lessons regarding how to teach easy mathematical methods to students so that students can improve their mathematics skills . At the end of the session Question and answer session was conducted for clearing the concepts and doubts clear.

School management meet.

Vidarbha Industries Power limited.Butibori .organized school management meet held on 15th & 19th Oct.2016 in village pipari& Pohi. The objective of this meeting was to tell the importance of education ,and to increase the percentage of student in z.p. school.

Health and Hygiene Rally

To support the government initiative of “Swacch Bharat Abhayan” . a sanitation campaign was conducted at ZPSchool between 15th to 21st Oct 2016

This Sanitation drive which lasted for a week was organized at Ganeshpur,Gondwana, Mandwana, Pipri,Takalghat. The objective of this program was to creat awareness about hygiene and cleanliness.

In this program rally was conducted in the villages in which 650 students participated.

Students Health Check up

As part of our CSR initiative free health check-up camp was conducted for all students studying in Zilla Parishad schools in 15 villages this activity is conducted

in this month between 5 –Oct - 2016 & 6 -Oct.-2016. students studying in Zilla Parishad School in Ganeshpur. Vidarbha industries Power Ltd under their Employee Volunteering Program organized an Adolescent career guidance Program on 22nd Oct 2016 at Takalghat village in which 35 adolescent girls attended the program.

The objective of this program was to give Career guidance and Skill development.

Vaishali Satunkar (coordinator SARD) gave a brief description about the various CSR initiative carried out by Vidarbha industries Power Ltd. . Mrs Shilpi.Deshpande (Manager L&D )VIPL under the employee volunteering scheme conducted a career guidance session for hign school Zp School girls . She discussed about the, Opprtunity, Present in arts, commerce, Science Engineering and Medical fields .and importance of job in different institutions. Bicycle Distribution program.

Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd (VIPL), Distributed 105 cycles to Zilla Parishad School Girls. A formal distribution program was conducted at Zp school Ganeshpur.Since higher education facilities are not available in every village, the girl students used to commute to High School by walking which was often acted deterrence for them to study. VIPL took the initiatives for providing cycles which will help the Girl students to commute conveniently.

Station Director of VIPL Ashesh Padhy inaugurated the program. In his speech Ashesh Padhy reminded the girl students about the women of substance like Laxmi Shehgal, Aruna Asaf Ali, Indira Gandhi, Kalpana Chawla, Mary Kom and Indra Nooyi. He said the girls have now reached Space, and they are flying fighter jets. To become one like them, the girls have to study well and have goals in life. He exhorted the girls to come to schools by riding the cycles with self-confidence

and self-pride. He said that no Society or country can progress if the girls remain in backward. Speaking on the occasion, the HR Head of VIPL Sawangi Sarang expressed the hope that VIPL’s initiative will aid to national goal of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ which encourages education of the girl child. In this program Students and teachers of Bharkas, Ganeshpur, Godwana and Sawangi and many senior employees of VIPL were present. The girls were thrilled after receiving the cycles and promised the Chief Guest that they would study well and be good citizens.

SPORTS & CULTURAL MEET

Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd (Reliance Power) under their CSR initiative organised a cultural and Sports program from 29.11.2016 at Zilla Parishad School Beed Ganeshpur .Total 550 school children participated from 11 Zp school.

The program was inaugurated by Shri Ashesh Padhy Station Director VIPL . In his speech he motivated the children to take active participation in sports events and also gave examples of MS Dhoni who being from small town made his mark in the field of Cricket. Another example he quoted of MR. Budhya the youngest marathon runner of our country started sport activity from early school days.

In this program Shri Sanjay Jumle GM CSR in his speech said that, for the all around development of the children apart of curriculum sport is equally important for the over all personality development. He assured gathering that Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd to support for such Government initiatives in future.

The sports event will last for two days and games like kabaddi, KhoKho, Relay , Running, High Jump etc will take place.

Hygiene and Sanitation Campaign

To support the government Campaign of Swachh Bharat Abhayan, Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd with its NGO Partner Society For all around development Conducted Health and sanitation campaign which is a continuous activity which is carried out at 14 villages and 15 Zilla parishad school. The objective of this program is to provide awareness about health and hygiene which includes use of toilets , doing Hand Wash before and after meals and after use of toilets.

It was observed that the students were prone to many diseases most of which were related to poor hygienic conditions .Hence every month we conduct such programs to create awareness among the school children’s about their

personal hygine and about Sanitation. This month the program were conducted at Sawangi, Gondwana, Ganeshpur ZP schools

between 9th and 13th Nov in which total 546 Students were covered. Malaria Control through Fogging:

As part of our monthly CSR initiative, Malaria control program through Fogging was conducted between 14TH & 20TH at Parsodi, Ganeshpur, Gondwana, villages. The objective of program was to control Malaria and protection from other disease spread through mosquito bites and also creates awareness in community. This program is conducted every month and carries out in all the 15 villages of our identified CSR project area.

VIPL Butibori under its CSR initiative organized Yuvakti Sammelan (Adolescent Girls ) Meet at Taklghat village in which total 282 girls participated. This one day event included 3 sessions for the Girls i.e Cultural program , Health and Hygine of Girls and their Legal Rights . he program started with the cultural programs,In which girls from Amar High School , Nistane High School and Shree Krishna School Participated.

SARD and Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd organized self Help group Training on 23.12.2016 at BMA Hall. The objective of this program was to enhance the knowledge of the SGH member on “ Gradation , government schemes & also bank loan process. In this program total 32 SHG’s executive members were present. SHG member save money regularly, the fund is utilized for group interlanding and proper records are miantained.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the tradition lamp by Mr. Sarang Sawangikar (Additional Vice president VIPL). On this Occasion he said that VIPL is continuously working together with women for women empowerment from last the 3 years. He exclaimed that every women should have to be self employed which will help her to create gender equality at social level. He had given an example of self employed women who is running the vegetable shop at Butibori.

Mr R.K. Tirpude (DIC Nagpur) gave information on the district Industrial centre concept and its function. He gave information about the Government Schemes like Prime Minister Employment Promotion Scheme, Seed Money Yojana ,DIC Loan Scheme, Common Promotion Scheme 2013 and documentation required for availing benefits under this scheme.

Third session was conducted by the Mr. Ganesh Hedao, (Bank Manager BOI Takalghat) had shared prime minister Jivan Jyoti Yojana, Atal pensation Yojana, Sukanya Yojana & also explained the Bank loan process.Further he also gave information on common problems which mostly occurs during Loan Process.

School Management meet.

Vidarbha Industries Power limited Butibori organized school management meet held on 3rd & 10th Dec.2016 In Sawangi & Gondwana villages. The objective of this meeting was to explain the importance of education, and to increase the percentage of student coming in Z.P. school. Inaugural lighting lamp by hand of Mr. Sanjay Jumale. G.M in presence of Mrs. Malati Agarkar centre incharge. Takalghat.Mr. Patil H.M. Sawangi.

At Gondwana program ,35 parents were present and At Sawangi program 43 parents were present. Mr Sanjay Jumale had gave information about CSR activities and further explained the role and responsibilities of parents in increasing the attendance of Z.P school student in School. He told that Reliance will provide the infrastructures like toilet, wall compound construction painting, play ground HE also said that VIPL will provide the good infrastructure but gram panchayat should also take responsibility of electricity supply ,water supply at village level .

Sweater Distribution Programme.

Sweater Distribution distribution program was held on 8th and 22nd Dec 2016 in Z. P.School at Gondwana & Bharkas. At the beginning the project co-ordinator Mr.Anand ingle informed about csr activities carried out by the company. Blood donation Camp.

Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd organized voluntary Blood Donation Campaign on 28th December to pay homage to our Beloved Founder Chairman Late Shri Dhirubhai H. Ambani. The Program was inaugurated by Shri Ashesh Padhy Station Director VIPL. In this Blood donation camp total 174 donors donated Blood which Includes VIPL Employees and Contract Workmen .
