AccessFloor 600Product OverviewWorkspace Technology’s AccessFloor600 is based on industry standard steelencapsulated access floor systempanels which have been tested inaccordance with the PSA MOB PS/SPU:1992 and BS/EN 12825:2001standards.

Standard PanelsManufactured in a modern, automatedproduction facility working to ISO9000Quality Procedures our standard 28mmhigh performance density particle boardis fully encapsulated with a 0.5mmgalvanised steel sheet. A uniquepatented manufacturing techniquebonds the top and bottom sheet undertension to form a double folded edgeresulting in a dimensionally accuratepanel with a rigid protective perimeterthat is resistant to damage anddelamination.

Data Centre PanelsWorkspace Technology also offers thecomputer room grade (4.2KN per25mm2) panel with pre-bondedantistatic vinyl finish and neoprene edgedesigned seal the floor to prevent airloss. Our range of heavy duty panelsare deployed as standard within DataCentre and Server Room environments.

Panel SurfaceStandard panels are normally left bareto loose-lay finishes which can also besupplied by Workspace Technology.Panels can be factory bonded withcarpet, vinyl and high pressurelaminates to suit individual architecturalspecifications.

Head CapsManufactured from injection mouldedpolypropylene and designed to frictionfit over the pedestal head. The field caphas four fins and the perimeter two finswhich aid correct seating and locationof the panel

Panel Tolerances

Floor panels are supported onadjustable steel pedestals which canbe supplied to provide a range offloor voids up to 1500mm. Pedestalsare manufactures from 26mm ZPGPthreaded tube welded to 100mm x100mm x 2mm star base. The head isformed from 90mm diameter x 3mmsteel disc welded to 32mm diameterdrawn tube. A 3mm locking nut isused to secure the pedestal at thecorrect height. Pedestals have anormal adjustment range suppliedwith a zinc gold passive finishprotecting against corrosion.

Pedestals chosen from the standardsrange cover 26mm to 1525mm. Allpedestals can be supplied with headspunched to accept stringers.

Increased loading capacity to can beachieved by connecting pedestalswith mild steel ‘u’ shaped stringers.The pedestals can be supplied withan optional slotted head allowingstringers simply hook into position.Stringers can be installed to enhancethe stability of the floor where floorvoids exceed 650mm.

Workspace Technology’s MicroFloor600 block pedestals can be used asa cost effective alternative solution tostandard steel pedestals.
