Jeffilarley, Outlook 2/6/97 The Washington Post 1150 15 St., FM 1lashington, LC 20071
Dear Jeff,
I've looked through all my Brj.nguier files that are not in the basement
and flat document is not there. The basement is not a none so I cant check that.
- .- Hwrover, the Archives should be able to provide it. That is where I got it. I
had very little money then and probably used that one copy in the manuscript.
I have a copy of a receipt l'ringuier gave the Geraci boy before August.
14aybe more than one. I think one from tit:: mother and one frOm Philip, when I
interviewed him aft :67 his return from V. The mother paced the dqte she drove
lii lap and Vance Blalock into NO by the dental appointment she had that had her drive ig It was right after school recessed, for the summer.
Ey load was a Secret Service report I thought I used in U in NO but that 6190
was so ion;, and and I've forgotten so much!!!
If it is important to you and if you are here and will keep confident° there
is more that makes tringuior out to be a scum I'll tell you.
The father had a sloe box of Philip's stdif he got out and showed me. There _A m
were other receipts for those 500 bonds, among other things. 1
I refer to that document as Filo 1203a. That refers to the number at the
archives bnfore they put the comupter system in. You can get it from Eartho
Wagner Diparphy, an archivigin artGC050 and FOIA or from Ramona branch in U'K
Access Files.
I'd forgotten all those iv:dean suggestions Bringuier refers to. 2g Orest
Pena and two of his people, the daytime bar girl whose name is only on the tip
of I4jio.T;p3 and Evvie Riadrigues all told me about seeing Oswald with a 'lexicon
who Orost said was a reporter.
Note the number of people Bringuier says wore helping OstAld. Not all alone.
II(4Aead of File that should be JD or CR 1203a. I gave Daue Nrone my list
of them so I cant consult it fur you.
The Geraci boy vas at .jringuier's often. I had a Jeff Parish juvenile
report on him that goes into that aside from my own sources but that report was
stolen when someone copied it, I guess. „Tt is gone. The juvenile officer was
named ourne.
I arranged for the family lauyer to be present to look out for
interest so she arrangdfor it at her home. She practised under her maiden
Lillian Cohen. She's married a judge)-Louis Trent. The whole thing sort of blew
her mind. Bost, /7 1\ia.

Dear Harold, Thank you for your letters of 24, 25, and 27 November 1996. They were characteristically
outspoken. . I want to ask your help locating a document, a letter from Carlos Bringuier to Jose Lanusa. It is
quoted in "Oswald in New Orleans" on pp. 204-205 (Canyon Books Edition). A copy is enclosed. I am wondering if you have a copy of this document at your disposal. I have not been able to locate it in the National Archives.
I also want to ask you about this statement you made in your last letter. You wrote "Bringuier is a liar when he says that Oswald was at his palce for the first time August 5. That lie is to explain what he did. It was really much earlier."
Are you basing this entirely on the testimony of Philip Geraci? Is there other evidence that suggests Oswald and Bringuier had contact before August 5?.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope your health is well.

New
