Book Critique A critique should be 1000 words (approx) in length. What is a critique? A critique expresses your view of a book. It includes your likes, dislikes, thoughts and opinions, what you agreed with and what you did not. Evidenced in your writing by critical enquiry It is not a summary of the book, nor is it an examination – there is no right or wrong. The idea of the critique is to encourage you to give real thought to the chosen book to show evidence that you have not only read but have digested thoroughly and examined the different issues raised using your own independent thoughts and values.
