Attendance Rules1. Punctuality and attendance are expected and highly
valued .
4. 1.5 points per absence will be deducted from the Final GRADE.
2. In case of emergencies or illness, please make a call or email TA with early notice, if possible.
3. Two unexcused absences are allowed without penalty.
Academic Integrity Policy1. Students are expected to do their own work on all
academic assignments, tests, projects and research papers.
2. Academic dishonesty (e.g. cheating, plagiarism, or other form of dishonest conduct) will result in a F grade for the work involved as well as failure for the course.
Course Activities/Requirements1. Keeping up with the readings and participating
actively in class is crucial.
2. Textbook assignments will form the basis for both in-class and take-home activities.
3. All essay assignments should be typed in Times New Roman 12-point font and double spaced.
Course Activities/Requirements4. Late assignment is NOT accepted, unless valid
reason is provided in advance.
5. NO make-up exam (learning evaluation tasks) is allowed.
6. Class participation & attendance include attending class regularly, submitting assignments, participating in NTU COOL and peer discussion/review.

Course Admission

2. Randomly select students from those who are not enrolled in this course, and make it a 20-student class.
