Abu Dhabi First Manuscripts Conference and Exhibition: Arabic Manuscripts Reality and Issues is the emirate's first-ever conference and exhibition focusing solely on manuscripts. Held by The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, the two-day conference programme features six sessions highlighting the historical value of editing, publishing and preserving manuscripts, with the participation as moderators and speakers of renowned academics and specialists from across the GCC region and the world.

Prof. Ibrahim Al Huqail

Al Huqail is a Saudi researcher and editor. He holds an MA in Literature and Criticism from King Saud University in Riyadh (1436 AH), and is a columnist in Al Yamamah weekly magazine. Al Huqail also publishes articles in manyKSA-based scientific journals and newspapers, and participates in literary activities in Riyadh.

Aside from his 10 published research papers on ancient poetry and Arabic sources, he has 12 publications, including: Critical Stops in 'Man Al Qa'el by Ibn Khamis' (1317 AH); A Critical Reading of Al Zarkali's Kitab Al A'alam (1434 AH); Shi'r Al Akhdar Al Lahabi: A Critical Study (1434 AH); A Lexicon on the Works of Al Zubayr Ibn Bakkar (1434 AH); The Poetry of Ubaidullah Ibn Abdullah bin Utba (1435 AH); Hashemites in the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad (1436 AH); Prisoners of the Battle of Badr Between the Right and Wrong Path (1437 AH); Poetic Appropriations and Intertextuality (1438 AH); Shu'ara' al Kina fi Mu'jam al-Shu'ara' li Al Mirzabani (1439 AH).

Ahmed Mohammed Obaid

Obaid is an Emirati researcher, poet and editor, winner of the Sharjah Award for Arabic Poetry and member of the Emirates Writers Union. He holds a MA in Arabic Literature from Ain Shams University (1996) and a PhD in Classical Arabic Literature and Criticism.

He worked as an assistant professor at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) and a lecturer at the University of Sharjah. He also served as a director of the Manuscripts and Publishing Section at the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, as well as director of the Documentation Section and then the Manuscripts Section at the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi.

Obaid has published 57 titles in poetry, literary and historical studies, oral history, linguistics, Arabic manuscripts and Arab heritage and culture. He is currently working on a national project on the documentation of oral history and dialects.

He also launched the Ahmad Obaid Graduation Theses Initiative to support the Arab publishing movement. His authored and editing works include: Poetry of Al-Shanfara Al-Azad; Al Azd Poetry in Al Jahiliyyah; Poetry of the Al Kalb Tribe Spanning the Late Umayyad Period; Jahiliyyah Poets; Jahiliyyah and Muslim Poets; Studies in Classical Arabic poetry; Arab Sources: Studies and Investigations; Monikers Inspired by Poetry Verses in Jahiliyyah and Islam.

Dr. Bashar Awwad Ma'rouf

Ma'rouf is an Iraqi academic researcher and editor, living in Jordan. He holds a PhD in Islamic History from the University of Baghdad (1967). He studied under a number of prominent Iraqi scientists including his uncle Dr. Naji Ma'rouf, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Douri and Prof. Saleh Ahmed Al Ali.

After receiving a scholarship from the University of Hamburg, Germany, Ma'rouf went on to teach Arabic language at Said University in 1965. He studied history under the famous German orientalist Prof. Bertold Spuler.

Ma'rouf is a member of many institutions worldwide, namely the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Amman, the Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs in Cairo, Board of Trustees of the Higher Islamic Institute of Islamic Graduate Studies in the United States (Columbia, Maryland), as well as many literary and scientific institutions in Baghdad, Amman and Damascus. He previously served as a professor at the universities of Baghdad and Al Mustansiriya and the Iraqi University, and is currently a professor at Al-Balqa' Applied University.

Ma'rouf has published 17 books, 22 muhaqqaq and more than 30 research papers. Shaker Luaibi

Luaibi is an Iraqi researcher, academic and literary scholar. After obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Education and Psychology in 1977, he left Iraq for Beirut, then South Yemen, then Damascus, and finally settled in Geneva in 1984 after marrying a Swiss Arabist. Luaibi studied French at the University of Geneva and elsewhere, only to end up at Geneva's School of Fine Arts, where he obtained a diploma in Painting and Sculpture from the University of Art and Design (1992). During his travels, he worked as a journalist and writer, as well as a visual artist, holding a series of exhibitions in Geneva, Tunisia, Berlin, London and other cities.

Aside from published articles in Arabic and foreign newspapers, Luaibi has many poetry works including: Fingers of Stone (1976); Text of the Three Texts (1982); Istighathat (1984). His other creative works include: the play 'Siege of Beirut' (1983) (performed at the National Theatre in Aden); A Demon in Heaven (1986) (translated novel); Glory Be To Thee (translated in 1992: poem by Elytis). Luaibi's most controversial work was entitled [Al Sharq Al Mo'anath] or ['Ureyyon Arabi].

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Chouqui Binebine

Binebine is a Moroccan researcher and academic, who works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in Rabat and Director of Morocco's Royal Library (Al Hussaini Library). He holds a PhD from the French University in Paris (1986).

He is an international member of the Manuscript Centre at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute in Jordan, as well as the Board of Experts of London's Al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Foundation and the panel of judges of the Kuwait International Prize. Binebine has supervised and presented hundreds of theses on libraries and manuscripts in Moroccan and foreign universities.

He has 20 books, editing works and others, including: The History of Libraries in Morocco (2002); Dictionary of Arabic Manuscripts Terminology (co-authored); Al-Durr Al-Thameen Fi Asma' Al-Musanafin by Ibn Al-Sa'i; Fil Kitab Al-Arabeyye Al-Makhtoot; Graveyards and Scenes in the City of Peace by Ibn Al-Sa'I; Catalogues of the Hussaini Library; Introduction To Codicology by Jacques Lemaire.

Prof. Anwar Alian Abu-Suleim

Abu-Suleim is a Jordanian researcher and editor, and professor of Arabic literature at Mutah University. He holds a PhD in Arabic Literature from Cairo University (1980). Abu-Suleim previously worked as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and head of the Department of Arabic Language at Mutah University. In addition, he worked as a professor at the University of Jordan, King Saud University and UAEU. He is also on the judging panels of several journals and professors' promotion committees.

Abu-Suleim has published 20 research papers. He has 20 published works, ranging between editing to authoring, including: Camels in Jahiliyyah Poetry (1983); Nature In First Abbasid Period Poetry (1983); Rain in in Jahiliyyah Poetry (1986); Studies in in Jahiliyyah Poetry (1987); Tha'lab Al Shibani's Commentary on Al Khansa Poetry Anthology (1988); Al Saqali's Continuation and Commentary of Diacritical Verses of Al-Mutanabbi Poetry Anthology (1990-1985); Mushakkal I'rab Al-Ash'ar Al-Sitta Al-Jahiliyyah (co-authored in 1991); Amer bin Al Tufail Anthology (1985); Al Sukkari's Commentary on Imru' Al-Qais Poetry Anthology (co-authored in 2000); Ibn Al-Awwam's Book of Andalusian Agriculture (co-authored in 2012).

Dr. Hayat Qarra

A Moroccan researcher and professor at Mohammed V University in Agdal, Ribat, Hayat holds a PhD in Arts and Humanities from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez (1997). She works as a researcher in Andalusian Literature and Civilization, specialised in Andalusian and Moroccan manuscripts, while also being in charge of the Composition and Research Unit ('Writing Styles in the Islamic West') at Mohammed V University. She is a member of a number of committees of universities and higher education institutions in Morocco.

Hayat has published a large number of specialised research papers, in addition to 15 authored and edited books, including: New Andalusian Messages: 'The Age of Almoravids' (1994); Abu Al-Abbas bin Shukail: Poet of Jerez (1998); A Summary of Al-Istaji's Samat Al Jaman (2002); Al Shuraishi's Kanz Al-Kitab wa Muntakhab Al-'adab (2004); Al-Ma'afiri's Commentary on the Diacritics and Peculiar Utterances in Muqamat Al-Hariri (2005); A Reading of the Literature of the Soul: Poetry of Abu Omran Al-Zahid (2008); The Anthology of Abu Al-Tayeb Al-Rundy (2010); Women Across the Mediterranean Space (2011); Maqna'at Al Sa'el 'an El-Maradh Al-Ha'el (2015).

Prof. Adel Suleiman Jamal

Jamal received his PhD. from Cairo University. Prior to joining the University of Arizona in 1975, he studied at the American University in Cairo and the University of California, Berkeley. He was the Executive Director of the Middle East Studies Centre (MESC) (1982-1981). While working at the University of Arizona, Jamal founded and headed the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, and directed the Arabic Language Centre at Zayed University in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (2001 - 2004).

Jamal has received 50 research grants, including the US Office of Education, The National Endowment for Humanities (NEH), The American Research Centre in Egypt (ARCE), Fulbright-Hays and the Fulbright Commission. He has also received seven educational awards at AUC and the U of A including the Five Star Faculty Award, The Burlington Northern Foundation Faculty Achievement Award, and the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences Outstanding Teaching Award.

He has authored and edited 11 books (two received the Arabic Language Academy International Award in 1996 and 2003), and has published over 35 chapters and articles in refereed journals in the Middle East, Europe and the US.His most notable publications include Al-Ahwas Poetry Anthology and Poetry Anthology of Hatem El Ta'i.

In recognition of his scientific contributions, his colleagues in Egypt dedicated a 'Festschrift' (671 pages) to Jamal with a foreword by Dr. Jaber Asfour, who was Egypt's Minister of Culture at the time. Similarly, his colleagues at Zayed University honoured him with another Festschrift (646 pages, 2014) with a foreword by the late researcher Dr. Abdullatif Abdul Halim.

Prof. Aisha Zaid Damaj

Damaj holds a BA in Archeology from the Sana'a University (1995). Between 1998 to 2015, she served as Director General of the Directorate of Document Restoration and Maintenance at the National Documentation Centre in Sana'a. Before that, she worked as an academic researcher at the Yemen Centre for Studies and Research in 1996, during which she co-authored many specialised research papers, and then in 1998 moved to work as assistant professor at the Sana'a University's Department of Archeology.

Damaj played a significant role in establishing laboratories for restoration and microform and digital document copying at the National Documentation Centre in Sana'a, as well as at a number of government archives. She has given many lectures on the conservation and maintenance of books, documents and manuscripts, while also training many in these specialised fields. Aisha has been living in Abu Dhabi since 2015.

Dr. Abdel Razzaq Mohammed Marzouk

Marzouk is a Moroccan academic with a PhD from the Chouaib Doukkali University in Jadida, for his thesis 'Critical Approach to the Classification of the Prophetic Biography'(2007). He serves as a professor at the Department of Islamic Studies, Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakech, where he is also Director of the Islamic Heritage of the West Research Unit. His work at the university included supervising the Master's thesis 'Prophetic Biography in the Islamic West: Personalities and Practices', and serving as member of the Moroccan Personalities Research Unit at the University's doctorate centre.

His scientific publications include: Nazhat Al-Absar fi Fadha'el Al-Ansar by Abu Bakr Ateeq ibn Al-Fira' Al-Andalusi; Maraqi Al-Lahaq be-Rijal Sirat Ibn Eshaq; Masra Al-Shareid (Chapters in Conformity with our Culture).Publications of the Islamic Heritage of the West Research Unit: The Prophetic Biography Concept and its Ten Principles; Classification Methodologies of the Prophetic Biography; Al-I'jaz Al-Bayani (The Miraculous Rhetoric).

Prof. Abdullah bin Yahya Al Suraihi

Born in Shahra, Yemen (1958), Al Suraihi has been working as a researcher and editor of manuscripts at Dar Al Kutub (the National Library) in Abu Dhabi since 1999. Before that, he worked for about 18 years as a library manager and manuscripts expert at the libraries of Sana'a University, alongside which he was a lecturer on manuscripts at the Department of Libraries and Information, Sana'a University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

Al Suraihi has a number of research publications, including Ibrahim Al-Samarra'i: Humans and Books (2007) and With the Sources: A Reading of Some Sources of Arab Heritage (2013).

His editing projects include: Al-Shawkani's Adab Al-Talab (1998); First and Second Editions of Ibn Fadhlullah Al-Omari (2006-2003); Al-Damaghani's The Pure Jewel (2008); Nazeeh Al Azm's Journey in the Joyous Arab Lands (2009) (winner of the Ibn Battuta Award for Arab Travel Literature); Al-Malik Al-Rasouli's Nuzahat Al-Dhurafa'wa Tuhfat Al-Khulafa' (2013). Al Suraihi is currently working on editing 'Mu'jam Al-Buldan' by Yaqut Al Hamwi, comprising 15 volumes, 10 of which were completed, while the first volume was published by the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation in 2002.

Prof. Abdullah Yousef Al Ghunaim

Al Ghunaim is an academic researcher and editor, and former Minister of Education. He also served as chairman of the Kuwaiti Research and Studies Centre; Director of the Arabic Manuscripts Institute; and Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, Kuwait University.

He is also a member of many advisory and scientific committees worldwide, including: Board of Directors of the Manuscripts Museum in Alexandria Library; the Egyptian Scientific Institute; Board of Governors of the Islamic Organisation of Medical Sciences; the Arabic Language Academies in Syria and Egypt; and Board of Trustees of the London-based Al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Foundation.

In 2014, he won the King Salman Prize for Studies and Research on the History of the Arabian Peninsula and was also named Heritage Personality of the Year. He was awarded the Kuwait Encouragement Award for Literary, Monetary, Linguistic and Heritage Studies (2015), the King Faisal Prize for Islamic Studies (2016), and the Gulf Excellence Award (2016).

Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Munif

Al-Munif is a Saudi researcher and academic, serving as both associate professor at the Department of Archeology and Advisor to the Dean of Library Affairs at King Saud University in Riyadh. He holds a PhD from King Saud University (1426 AH), 'Najdi Manuscript Industry'.

Al-Munif served as Director of Manuscripts Department at King Fahd National Library, as well as General Supervisor of the Libraries and Information Department at King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh, Al Turath Foundation, King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darah) and the Moroccan Heritage and Development Agency. He has been a member of several research and scientific judging committees. His publications include The Manuscript Industry in Najd Between the Mid10-th Century and Mid14-th Century AH (2014).

Dr. Abdullah bin Sulaim Al-Rasheed

Al-Rasheed is a Saudi researcher, editor and poet. He holds a PhD in Arabic Literature from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University (2000) and works as a professor of classical Arabic Literature at the same university. He is also a member of the editorial committees of Darah Magazine and Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University Magazine.

Al-Rasheed has published five poetry anthologies and 13 scientific works, including: Ma Baqeya min Kitab Al Ruhhal lil Khwarizmi (2009); Maqta'at Al-A'rab Al-Nathreyya (2006); Dawawin li Shu'ara' Maghmourin Jam'an wa Tahqiqan (2010); Jin Poetry in Arab Heritage (2012); Jawaher Al-Kalim wa Fara'ed Al-Hikam by Ali bin Obaida Al-Rayhani (2016) (editing).

Prof. Abdullah bin Abdulrahim Usailan

A Saudi researcher and editor, Usailan holds a PhD from the Faculty of Languages at Al-Azhar University (1397 AH), and serves as a professor at the Faculty of Arabic Language. He has supervised and discussed several Master's and Doctoral dissertations across a number of universities in the Kingdom and was a dean of libraries at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. He has been a member of many scientific and cultural institutions, as well as a member of the Shura Council in its third term, and the Arabic Language Academies in Damascus and Cairo.

Usailan was previously Chairman of Madina Literary Club, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Abdullah International Centre for Arabic Language in Riyadh.

He is the author of many research papers, as well as 20 books in literature, criticism and the history of Madina, including: Hamasat Abi Tammam; Abu Tammam's Al Wahshiyat; Al Nemri's Ma'ani Abyat Al-Hamasah;Abu Al-Walid Al-Ishbili's Al-Badi' fi Wasf Al-Rabi'; Editing Manuscripts: Between Reality and the Best Approach; Hamad Al-Jasser and His Scientific Efforts; Hamasat Abi Tammam and Commentary: Study and Analysis; Story of a Library: 50 Years in the Company of Books and Libraries in the Arab World and Overseas.

Dr. Abdullah Ghalis

Ghalis is a Kuwaiti researcher. He holds a PhD in Arabic literature from Minia University, Egypt, and teaches prosody and rhyme at Al-Babtain Academy for Arabic Poetry. He is a member of the Kuwait Writers Association.

Dr. Faez bin Abdullah Al Shamani

Al Shamani is a Saudi academic and Arabic language teacher at the Islamic University of Madinah/Institute of Arabic Language for Non-native Speakers. He holds a PhD in Linguistics from the Islamic University of Madinah, and an MA from in the same field from Taibah University. He is currently a member of the editorial team working on Al-Saghani's Al-Ebab Al-Zakher wal-Lisan Al-Fakher.

Dr. Mohammed Muslim Al-Mahri

Al Mahri is an Omani researcher and academic with a PhD from the Faculty of Dar Al-Ulum, Cairo University. He is the Dean of the College of Applied Sciences in Salalah (Head of General Requirements Department) and Assistant Dean for Academic Support.

Al Mahri worked as a moderator of Arabic language at the General Directorate of Education - Dhofar Governorate and then as an assistant teacher. After that, he served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Arabic Language at the Dhofar University and Assistant Lecturer at the Arab Open University, and then Director of the Education Department of the Human and Environmental Affairs Sector at the GCC Secretariat General.

Dr. Mohammed Kamel Mohammed Jad

Jad is an Egyptian researcher and editor with a PhD in Arts and Humanities from Alexandria University (2005), specialised in Islamic scientific heritage. He has been in his position as Director of the Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage since 2015.

Hoor is a Jordanian researcher and editor with a PhD in Arts from Ain-Shams University, Cairo (1977). He works as a Professor of Arabic Literature and Criticism at the University of Constantine in Algeria, Garyounis University in Libya, UAEU in Abu Dhabi, University of Petra, Al-Isra University and the Hashemite University in Jordan.

Hoor is a member of the Jordan Academy of Arabic, Vice-Chancellor of Al Isra University in Jordan, Dean of UAE's College of Humanities and Chairman of Department of Arabic Language at UAEU, University of Petra and the Hashemite University. Himad is a Moroccan researcher, founder and president of the Moroccan Association for Protecting and Evaluating Cultural Manuscripts and member of the Islamic Manuscript Association, Cambridge. He received his BA in Philosophy and Diploma from the Higher School of Technical Education.

He holds a graduation certificate from a drama course at A. M. Qattan Foundation. He is currently a professor of philosophy at Boudinar High School. He participated in the 10th Islamic Manuscript Association Conference, 'Manuscripts and Conflict', held at the University of Cambridge's Magdalene College, where he presented a research paper entitled ''The Manuscripts of Timbuktu in the Face of the Clash of Civilisations''. He also received training in manuscript restoration at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.

Dr. Nawwaf Abdulaziz Al Jahmah

Al Jahmah is a member of the Society of History and Archeology and a member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwaiti Literary Association. In 2006, he won the Ibn Battuta Award for Geographical Literature Studies and the Kuwait Encouragement Award in the Arab Heritage Editing category (2014).

Along with 24 authored or refereed research papers featured in scientific conferences, his publications include: Pioneers of the Islamic West and the Image of the Arab Orient from the 6th Century to the 8th Century AH (2008); The Journey of Abi Hassan Al-Harawi: Signs of Recognising Visits (2012); Practical Life in the Islamic Civilisation during the Median Period (2010).

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al Waseet

Al Waseet is a lawyer of the Bar Association of Casablanca and a researcher of heritage laws.

He holds an MA in Heritage Law from Hassan II University Mohammedia - Casablanca, Morocco, (2012), and a PhD in Heritage Law, Hassan II University (2014). Al Waseet has participated in many scientific conferences and seminars on tangible and intangible heritage in Morocco, UAE, Tunisia, Spain, France and Portugal.

He also serves as Chairman of Al Waseet Centre for Heritage and Law, Mohammedia, and is a member of the Moroccan Association of Archeology and Heritage, as well as of the Laboratory of Heritage and Modernity, Hassan II University Mohammedia.

Prof. Dr. Latifallah Qari

Qari received his BSc in Physics from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, in 1398) 1978 AH) and a Higher Diploma in Meteorology from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, in 1400) 1980 AH). He also holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida (1404/1983 AH), and a PhD in Codicology and Heritage Editing from the Institute of Arab Research and Studies (1434/2013 AH). In addition, he works as an advisor and member of the Commission on History of Science and Technology in Islamic Societies of the International Union for the History of Science (2017-2013).

Qari is the first Saudi to receive the Kuwait Prize in the 'Scientific Heritage' category since its inception in 1979. It is a major award sponsored by HH the Amir of Kuwait personally as President of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences.

Qari's most notable works include Al-Wiraqa wa Al-Warraqoun fi Al-Tarikh Al-Islami (Papermaking in Islamic History) and The Emergence of Natural Sciences in the Islamic World.

Dr. Mohamed Ali Shawabaka

Shawabka is a Jordanian academic, researcher and editor. He serves as an Arabic language professor at Mutah University, specialising in Modern and Andalusian literature.

Shawabka holds a PhD in Oriental Studies from Michigan University, Ann Arbor, US. He has published eight books, including Al Sukkari's Edition of Imru' Al-Qais Anthology (2000); Al-Shajar wal Kala' by Abu Zayd Al Ansari (1995); Yehia bin Hathil Al-Andalusi Poetry (1996); and Matmah Al Anfus by Al-Fath bin Khaqan (1983). He has also published a number of specialised literary studies and research papers.

Dr. Mohammed bin Radda Al Omari

Al Omari holds a PhD in Arabic Grammatical Thought and has served as a lecturer and assistant professor at the Teachers College in Al Qunfudah. He is currently a board member of Al-Qunfudhah University College and a consultant at Nasiha Law Firm. He has published many books including Al 'amel fi Falsafat Nuhat Al-Qarn Al-Rabe' Hijri and Al-Nitham Al-Nahawi li Al-Arabiyya: Shumoul wa Thabat.

Dr. Ebraheem Al Batshan

Dr. Ibrahim Al Batshan is a Saudi academic and manuscript editor. Born in Unaizah, KSA, Al Batshan received his PhD in Ancient Arabic Literature from the Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in 1422 AH. He worked as a lecturer and assistant professor, then served as a professor at the Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and subsequently at Qassim University. He also worked as a cultural attaché and a secondment teacher outside the Kingdom.

Al Batshan's editing and authored works include: Al-Muntakhab fi Sharh Lamiyyat Al-'arab by Ibn Abi Tai Al Halabi (editing, 2014); Al-Tahani wal Ta'azi (Congratulations & Condolences); Diwan Al Mutanabi fi Awasit Al-Andalusi (2010). دكتور عبداهلل بن عبدالرحيم عسيالن

باحث ومحقق من المملكة العربية السعودية، حاصل على الدكتوراة من كلية اللغة بجامعة األزهر،

أستاذاً في كلية اللغة العربية، أشرف وناقش العديد من رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراة في عدد من

جامعات المملكة، عمل عميداً للمكتبات بجامعة اإلمام محمد بن سعود اإلسالمية، شارك في

عضوية عدد من الجهات العلمية والثقافية. كما عين عضواً في مجلس الشورى الدورة الثالثة، وعضواً

مراساًل بمجمع اللغة العربية بدمشق، ورئيسًا لنادي المدينة المنورة األدبي، ورئيسًا لمجلس أمناء

مركز الملك عبد اهلل الدولي لخدمة اللغة العربية بالرياض وعضواً عاماًل في مجمع اللغة العربية

بالقاهرة، له مؤلفات وتحقيقات عديدة بلغت عشرين كتابًا في األدب والنقد وتاريخ المدينة المنورة

منها: حماسة أبي تمام، الوحشيات ألبي تمام، معاني أبيات الحماسة للنمري، البديع في وصف الربيع ألبي

الوليد اإلشبيلي، تحقيق النصرة بتلخيص معالم دار الهجرة، سهيل في ذكر الخيل، تحقيق المخطوطات

بين الواقع والنهج األمثل، حمد الجاسر وجهوده العلمية، حماسة أبي تمام وشروحها دراسة وتحليل،

قصة مكتبة خمسون عامًا في صحبة الكتب والمكتبات في الوطن العربي وخارجه.

دكتور عبداهلل غليس

باحث من الكويت، حاصل على الدكتوراة في األدب العربي من جامعة المنيا بجمهورية مصر العربية،

مهتم بعلم العروض والقافية، مدرس مادة العروض والقافية في أكاديمية البابطين للشعر العربي،

عضو رابطة األدباء الكويتيين، له عدة بحوث محكمة منها: التناص في شعر ابن زيدون، األبنية

العروضية لمطالع القصيدة العربية، البنية اإليقاعية في شعر مصطفى التل )عرار(، وله من الكتب: نحو

النص..دراسة في شعر ابن زيدون، علم العروض والقافية.

دكتور عبداهلل محمد المنيف

باحث وأكاديمي من المملكة العربية السعودية، أستاذ مشارك في قسم اآلثار بجامعة الملك سعود

بالرياض، حاصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة الملك سعود برسالته "صناعة المخطوطات النجدية"،

مستشار لعمادة شؤون المكتبات بجامعة الملك سعود، عمل مديراً إلدارة المخطوطات بمكتبة

الملك فهد الوطنية ومشرفًا عامًا على المكتبات والمعلومات بمركز الملك فيصل للبحوث

والدراسات اإلسالمية بالرياض، ومؤسسة التراث ودارة الملك عبدالعزيز ووكالة التراث والتنمية

المغربية، باإلضافة إلى عضوية بعض اللجان وتحكيم البحوث، صدر له: صناعة المخطوطات في نجد ما

بين منتصفي القرنين العاشر حتى الرابع عشر الهجريين 2014.

دكتور عبداهلل بن سليم الرشيد

باحث ومحقق وشاعر من المملكة العربية السعودية، حاصل على الدكتوراة في األدب العربي من

جامعة اإلمام محمد بن سعود اإلسالمية، أستاذ األدب العربي القديم بجامعة اإلمام محمد بن سعود

اإلسالمية، عضو هيئة تحرير مجلة الدارة، ومجلة جامعة اإلمام محمد بن سعود اإلسالمية، صدرت له

خمسة دواوين شعرية، وله ثالثة عشر عماًل علميًا منها: ما بقي من كتاب الرحل للخوارزمي، مقطعات

األعراب النثرية، دواوين لشعراء مغمورين جمعًا وتحقيقًا، شعر الجن في التراث العربي، جواهر الكلم

وفرائد الحكم لعلي بن عبيدة الريحاني )تحقيق(.

عبداهلل بن يحيى السريحي

من مواليد مدينة شهارة في اليمن، يعمل حاليًا باحثًا ومحققًا في مجال المخطوطات في دائرة الثقافة

والسياحة – أبوظبي، عمل قبلها في مكتبات جامعة صنعاء ما يقارب 18 عامًا، في إدارة المكتبات،

وخبيراً للمخطوطات، وعمل كذلك محاضراً لمادة المخطوطات بقسم المكتبات والمعلومات، بكلية

اآلداب- جامعة صنعاء، له العديد من البحوث والمؤلفات من بينها كتاب بعنوان: إبراهيم السامرائي

اإلنسان والكتاب، مع المصادر: قراءة في بعض مصادر التراث العربي 2013، من تحقيقاته: أدب الطلب

للشوكاني، المجلدان األول والثاني من مسالك األبصار في ممالك األمصار البن فضل اهلل العمري،

الجوهرة الخالصة عن الشوائب للدامغاني، رحلة في بالد العربية السعيدة لنزيه العظم، حاصل على

جائزة ابن بطوطة لألدب الجغرافي العربي عام 2009، نزهة الظرفاء وتحفة الخلفاء للملك األفضل

الرسولي. يعمل حاليًا على تحقيق »معجم البلدان لياقوت الحموي« )15جزءاً(، وقد أنجز منه عشرة

أجزاء، صدر الجزء األول عن المجّمع الثقافي - أبوظبي عام 2002.

دكتور عبداهلل يوسف الغنيم

باحث أكاديمي ومحقق، رئيس مجلس اإلدارة ورئيس مركز البحوث والدراسات الكويتية، وزير سابق

للتعليم العالي والتربية والتعليم، مدير معهد المخطوطات العربية سابقًا، عميد كلية اآلداب بجامعة

الكويت سابقًا، عضو في عدد من الهيئات االستشارية والعلمية على مستوى العالم، منها: مجلس

إدارة المخطوطات بمكتبة اإلسكندرية، المجمع العلمي المصري، مجمع اللغة العربية بمصر، مجلس

أمناء المنظمة اإلسالمية للعلوم الطبية، مجمع اللغة العربية بسوريا، مجلس أمناء مؤسسة الفرقان

بلندن، حاصل على جائزة صاحب السمو الملكي األمير سلمان بن عبدالعزيز للدراسات والبحوث الخاصة

بتاريخ الجزيرة العربية 2014، أختير شخصية العام التراثية للعام 2014. حاصل على جائزة الدولة

التشجيعية في مجال الدراسات األدبية والنقدية واللغوية والتراثية للعام 2015، جائزة الملك فيصل

فرع الدراسات اإلسالمية للعام 2016، جائزة التميز الخليجي للعام 2016، له العديد من البحوث

المنشورة في المجالت العلمية العربية والكويتية إضافة إلى مجموعة من الكتب أهمها: جغرافية

العربية في مكتبة البودليان، أشكال سطح األرض في شبه الجزيرة العربية في المصادر العربية القديمة.

عائشة زيد دماج

حاصلة على شهادة البكالوريوس في علم اآلثار من جامعة صنعاء عام 1995. شغلت منصب مدير

عام اإلدارة العامة لترميم وصيانة الوثائق في المركز الوطني للوثائق بصنعاء منذ 1998 إلى 2015.

عملت قبلها باحثه أكاديمية في مركز الدراسات والبحوث اليمني عام 1996 وشاركت فيه في كتابة

أبحاث خاصة بالمركز مع عدد من الباحثين، ثم انتقلت للعمل معيدة "مدرس مساعد" في قسم

اآلثار بجامعة صنعاء إلى عام 1998. شاركت في تأسيس وإنشاء معامل كل من الترميم والتصوير

الميكروفيلمي والتصوير الرقمي للوثائق في المركز الوطني للوثائق بصنعاء ولعدد من مراكز

ومؤسسات األرشيف الحكومية، قامت أثناء عملها في المركز بإلقاء العديد من المحاضرات حول حفظ

وصيانة الكتب والوثائق والمخطوطات،كما قامت بتدريب العديد من المتدربين على أعمال ترميم

وصيانة الكتب والوثائق والمخطوطات. تقيم في أبوظبي منذ عام 2015.

دكتور عبدالرزاق محمد مرزوك

أكاديمي من المغرب، أستاذ جامعي بقسم الدراسات اإلسالمية، جامعة القاضي عياض في مراكش

بالمملكة المغربية، حاصل على الدكتوراة من جامعة شعيب الدكالي بالجديدة عن "المنهج النقدي

لتصنيف السيرة النبوية"، مدير وحدة البحث في تراث الغرب اإلسالمي بمركز دراسات الدكتوراة بجامعة

القاضي عياض، المشرف على ماجستر السيرة النبوية في الغرب اإلسالمي: األعالم والمناهج بالجامعة

نفسها. عضو وحدة البحث في أعالم المغرب بمركز الدكتوراة بالجامعة نفسها. من إنتاجه العلمي:

دكتورة حياة قارة

باحثة من المغرب، أستاذة التعليم العالي بجامعة محمد الخامس في الرباط، حاصلة على دكتوراة

الدولة في اآلداب من جامعة محمد بن عبداهلل في فاس. باحثة في األدب والحضارة األندلسية،

متخصصة في المخطوط األندلسي والمغربي، مسؤولة وحدة التكوين والبحث "أساليب الكتابة في

الغرب اإلسالمي" دبلوم الدراسات العليا الماجستير، بجامعة محمد الخامس، الرباط، عضو في عدد

من لجان الجامعات والتربية والتعليم العالي في المملكة المغربية. نشرت عدداً كبيراً من البحوث

المحكمة، لها خمسة عشر كتابًا محققًا ومؤلفًا منها: رسائل أندلسية جديدة "عصر المرابطين"،

أبوالعباس بن شكيل شاعر شريش، المقتضب من كتاب سمط الجان لالستجي، كنز الكتاب ومنتخب

اآلداب للشريشي، شرح مشكل وغريب ألفاظ مقامات الحريري للمعافري، قراءة في أدب النفس، شعر

أبي عمران الزاهد، ديوان أبي الطيب الرندي، النساء في فضاء البحر األبيض المتوسط 2011، مقنعة

السائل عن المرض الهائل 2015.

دكتور عادل سليمان جمال

حصل الدكتور عادل جمال على شهادة الدكتوراة من جامعة القاهرة. قبل التحاقه بجامعة أريزونا

في الواليات المتحدة، درس في الجامعة األمريكية بالقاهرة وفي جامعة كاليفورنيا في بيركلي. شغل

منصب المدير التنفيذي لمركز دراسات الشرق األوسط، وأثناء وجوده في جامعة أريزونا أسس وترأس

قسم الدراسات العربية واإلسالمية ومركز اللغة العربية في جامعة زايد في دبي وأبوظبي باإلمارات

العربية المتحدة في الفترة من 2001 إلى 2004. حصل على 50 منحة بحثية من عدة مؤسسات ومراكز

تعليمية من بينها مكتب التعليم األمريكي، والمؤسسة الوطنية لإلنسانية )NEH(، ومركز األبحاث

األمريكي في مصر )ARCE(، و Fulbright-Hays، و Fulbright Commission. كما حصل على سبع

جوائز تعليمية في الجامعة األمريكية بالقاهرة، وجائزة جامعة بيرلينجتون للمؤسسة الشمالية، وجائزة

كلية العلوم االجتماعية والسلوكية المتميزة. قام بتأليف وتحرير 11 كتابًا )حصل اثنان منهم على جائزة

األكاديمية الدولية للغة العربية في عامي 1996 و 2003(، ونشر أكثر من 35 فصاًل ومقالة في مجالت

علمية محكمة في الشرق األوسط وأوروبا والواليات المتحدة، أشهر كتبه: ديوان األحوص، ديوان حاتم

الطائي. وتقديراً لمساهمته العلمية، قام زمالؤه في مصر بتخصيص كتاب تذكاري على شرفه )671

صفحة( مع مقدمة للدكتور جابر عصفور، وزير الثقافة. وبالمثل، قدم له زمالؤه في جامعة زايد كتابًا آخر

)646 صفحة ، 2014( مع مقدمة من الباحث الراحل الدكتور عبد اللطيف عبد الحليم أبو همام.

دكتور أحمد شوقي بنبين

باحث وأكاديمي من المملكة المغربية، أستاذ محاضر بكلية اآلداب بالرباط ومدير الخزانة الملكية

الحسنية، حاصل على دكتوراة الدولة من الجامعة الفرنسية بباريس 1986، عضو دولي بمركز

المخطوطات بمكتبة االسكندرية وأكاديمية مؤسسة آل البيت باألردن وعضو بمجلس الخبراء

بمؤسسة الفرقان بلندن ولجنة جائزة الكويت الدولية، أشرف وناقش مئات األطروحات في علوم

المكتبات والمخطوطات في الجامعات المغربية واألجنبية. له عشرون كتابًا ما بين مؤلف ومحقق أو

تقديم وإشراف، منها: تاريخ المكتبات في المغرب، معجم مصطلحات المخطوط العربي )باالشتراك(،

الدر الثمين في أسماء المصنفين البن أنجب الساعاتي، في الكتاب العربي المخطوط، المقابر والمشاهد

بمدينة السالم البن أنجب الساعاتي، فهارس الخزانة الحسنية، المدخل إلى علم المخطوط

لجاك لومير.

دكتور أنور عليان أبوسويلم

باحث ومحقق من األردن، أستاذ األدب العربي بجامعة مؤتة. حاصل على الدكتوراة في األدب العربي

القديم من جامعة القاهرة 1980، عميد سابق لكلية اآلداب بجامعة مؤتة. عمل أستاذاً بالجامعة

األردنية وجامعة الملك سعود وجامعة اإلمارات، عضو محكم في عدد من المجالت المحكمة ولجان

ترقيات األساتذة. له 20 بحثًا محكمًا منشوراً وعدد كبير من البحوث األخرى، كما له 20 إصداراً بين

تأليف وتحقيق، منها: اإلبل في الشعر الجاهلي، الطبيعة في شعر العصر العباسي األول، المطر في الشعر

الجاهلي، دراسات في الشعر الجاهلي، ديوان الخنساء بشرح شعلب، التكملة وشرح األبيات المشكلة

من ديوان المتنبي للصقلي، مشكل إعراب الشعار الستة الجاهلية )باالشتراك(، ديوان عامر بن الطفيل،

ديوان امرئ القيس بشرح السكري )باالشتراك(، الفالحة األندلسية البن العوام )باالشتراك(.

الدكتور بشار عواد معروف

باحث أكاديمي ومحقق، من الجمهورية العراقية، مقيم في األردن، حاصل على الدكتوراة في التاريخ

اإلسالمي من جامعة بغداد 1967. تعلم على يد عدد من علماء العراق البارزين منهم: َعّمه الدكتور

ناجي معروف، والدكتور عبد العزيز الدوري، والدكتور صالح أحمد العلي. حصل على منحة من جامعة

هامبورغ األلمانية لتعلم اللغة األلمانية ليعّين معلمًا للغة العربية في الجامعة المذكورة سنة 1965.

درس التاريخ على يد المستشرق األلماني المشهور برتولد شبولر. عضو في المجامع اللغوية والعلمية

في بغداد وعّمان ودمشق ومؤسسة آل البيت باألردن والمجلس األعلى للشؤون اإلسالمية بالقاهرة

والمعهد اإلسالمي العالي في ماريالند بالواليات المتحدة، أستاذ في جامعات بغداد والمستنصرية

والجامعة العراقية سابقًا وأستاذ في جامعة البلقاء التطبيقية حاليًا. له 17 كتابًا مؤلفًا و22 محققًا

وأكثر من 30 بحثًا، من بينهم: كتاب الوفيات ألبي مسعود الحاجي، التكملة لوفيات النقلة، للحافظ

المنذري، أهل المئة فصاعداً للحافظ الذهبي، ذيل تاريخ مدينة السالم بغداد البن الدبيثي، مشيخة النعال

البغدادي، تهذيب الكمال في أسماء الرجال للحافظ المزي، سير أعالم النبالء للحافظ الذهبي.

شاكر لعيبي

باحث وأديب وأكاديمي ولد في العراق، أنهى دراسته الجامعية بحصوله على بكالوريوس في التربية وعلم

النفس، تعلم اللغة الفرنسية في جامعة جنيف. درس في أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة في جنيف حتى

حصل على الدبلوم في الفنون التشكيلية )رسم ونحت( من المدرسة العليا للفنون البصرية. عمل

خالل تنقالته بالصحافة واألدب، كما اشتغل بفن الرسم، وأقام سلسلة من المعارض التشكيلية في

جنيف وتونس وبرلين ولندن وغيرها، له كتابات في الصحف العربية واألجنبية. دواوينه الشعرية هي:

أصابع الحجر، نص النصوص الثالثة، استغاثات، بالغة )نص وعشرون تخطيطًا ـ شعر ورسم(، ومن أعماله

اإلبداعية األخرى: مسرحية حصار بيروت )مثلت على المسرح الوطني في عدن(، شيطان في الجنة )رواية

مترجمة( 1986، له المجد )قصيدة: إيليتس ـ ترجمة( 1992، الشرق المؤنث، أو ُعْرٌي عربي.

إبراهيم الحقيل

باحث ومحقق من المملكة العربية السعودية، حاصل على ماجستير األدب والنقد من جامعة الملك

سعود بالرياض، كاتب عمود أسبوعي في مجلة اليمامة. كاتب مقاالت في المجالت العلمية والصحف

في المملكة، مشارك في األنشطة األدبية في منطقة الرياض، له عشرة بحوث محكمة في الشعر

للزركلي، شعر األخضر اللهبي، معجم مصنفات الزبير بن بكار، شعر عبيداهلل القديم والمصادر العربية،

بن عبداهلل بن عتبة، الهاشميون في زمن النبوة، أسرى غزوة بدر بن الهدى والضالل، السرقات الشعرية

والتناص، شعراء الكنى من معجم الشعراء.

أحمد محمد عبيد

باحث ومحقق وشاعر من اإلمارات العربية المتحدة، حاصل على الماجستير في األدب والنقد العربي

القديم من جامعة عين شمس، عضو اتحاد كتاب وأدباء اإلمارات. حصل على جائزة الشارقة للشعر

العربي. عمل سابقًا معيد في جامعة اإلمارات ومحاضراً في جامعة الشارقة، ومديراً لقسم المخطوطات

والنشر في المجّمع الثقافي في أبوظبي، يشغل حاليًا منصب مدير قسم المخطوطات في دائرة الثقافة

والسياحة - أبوظبي.

صدر له 57 كتابًا في الشعر والدراسات األدبية والتاريخية والتاريخ الشفاهي ومسميات المواضع

واللغويات )اللهجات( والمخطوطات العربية والتراث العربي والثقافي. ينجز حاليًا مشروعًا وطنيًا لتوثيق

التاريخ الشفاهي واللهجات، له مبادرة أحمد عبيد للرسائل الجامعية لدعم حركة النشر العربي. من

مؤلفاته وتحقيقاته: شعر الشنفرى األزدي، شعر األزد في العصر الجاهلي، شعر قبيلة كلب حتى نهاية

يهدف مؤتمر ومعرض أبوظبي األول للمخطوطات الذي تنظمه دائرة الثقافة والسياحة - أبوظبي تحت

شعار "المخطوطات العربية، واقع وقضايا"، إلى إبراز دور أبوظبي المحوري في الحفاظ على التراث العربي

األصيل ونشره، حيث يضّم المعرض مجموعة من المخطوطات العربية النادرة. فيما تسلط الجلسات

الستة للمؤتمر الضوء على القيمة التاريخية إلصدار ونشر وحفظ المخطوطات، وذلك بمشاركة نخبة

من الخبراء والباحثين واألكاديميين والمتخصصين.
