Computerization in CGHS

Abstract

Central Government Health Scheme is a government run scheme which provides comprehensive

medical facilities to central government employees, pensioners and their dependents residing in

CGHS covered cities. It caters to approximately 36 lakhs beneficiaries across 24 cities. To keep

pace with the modern times, a massive computerization work was taken up by NIC under CGHS

guideline in mid 2000s’ .The study aims to understand the implementation of computerization

done in C.G.H.S wellness centers in Delhi. Furthermore, the effects of computerization in Delhi

centers of CGHS and the further improvements that can be implemented will also be studied.
