Abstract:Spiritual well-being is a sense of peace and contentment stemming from an individuals relationship with the spiritual aspects of life and in relation to the quality of life. This cross-sectional survey research was aimed at exploring the biosocial factors influencing the spiritual well-being of elderly persons in Chacheongsao Province located in Eastern Thailand. Questionnaires were administered to 330 elders by personal interviews between May and August 2014. The variables were analyzed by t-test, and One-way ANOVA. According to the findings, gender, marital status, education, religion, working conditions, people who living with, and activities with elderly club affected the spiritual well-being of the elderly at a 0.05 level of significance, while age was unaffected to spiritual well-being of the elderly. The findings of this study confirm the significant of various biosocial factors that affect elderly spiritual well-being, and can be used as basis information for develop an appropriate plan for promoting spiritual well-being of the Thai elders.
