A Principal/Consulting Mining Engineer with sound technical, commercial and management experience in a multitude of commodities and mining methods.

An honest and reliable professional mining engineer who is able to conceptualize and simplify complex problems, and to deliver optimal value engineered solutions for mining operations, resources and deposits.

Well balanced operational and technical experience with knowledge gained from operations management, technical mineral resource management, project management and consulting mining engineering roles. Prove to be particularly effective in working within project and study teams, with different cultures and backgrounds.

Very knowledgeable in underground mining and open pit operations and technical mining studies. Mentor and couch younger inexperienced mining engineers to develop talented young engineers into well-rounded mining engineers. Mxolisi Mabaso

MINING CONSULTANT

An experienced Mining Engineer backed by solid 15 years of full-time practice in the mining engineering profession.

Mxolisi acquired his mining experience from various mining companies with diverse mining activities ranging from production, management, production improvements, mine designs and scheduling as well as mine development studies. Mxolisi started his career with De Beers Consolidated Mines at Venetia Mine where he worked as a learner official, shift supervisor, mine planning and was also appointed as a load and haul mining engineer.

Some of the career highlights include time spent with BHP Billiton (Samancor Manganese) where the company was developing a manganese mine in Gabon. As a Senior Mining Engineer in the project some of the deliverables were: Open pit optimization, mine design and schedule, fleet selection and matching, mineral reserve estimation and mine costing. More career highlights involve time spent with SRK consulting where are he was a mining engineer for the Ngezi Platinum mines Prefeasibility and Feasibility studies. The main deliverables in this study included working as a mining engineer, mine designing using Mine2-4D and Mine Scheduling using EPS (Enhanced Production Scheduling).
