HIGHEST SURVIVAL RATEThe two ABS® TwinBags are positioned at the side of the body, keeping the avalanche victim as flat as possible on top of the avalanche, and creating a dynamically shaped lifting surface. Compared with mono airbags, this generates a much greater lifting effect precisely where it is needed the

most – in the critical avalanche run-out zone. The two separate airbags make the system twice as reliable: If one airbag fails during the descent, the other will remain inflated for a sufficient length of time. After all, you can only help your companions if you are not buried yourself.

ABS® TWINBAG FOR LIFEAccording to avalanche experts, the top priority for people caught up in an avalanche is to avoid being buried. A quick tug on the ABS® TwinBags activation handle is all it takes to instantly inflate two airbags with a total volume of 170 liters. This extra volume will almost certainly prevent the wearer being buried. The two ABS® TwinBags are positioned at the side

of the body, keeping the avalanche victim as flat as possible on top of the avalanche, and creating a dynamically shaped lifting surface. Compared with mono airbags, this generates a much greater lifting effect precisely where it is needed the most – in the critical avalanche run-out zone. fails during the descent, the other will remain inflated for a sufficient length of time. The ABS® TwinBag also offers complete freedom of move-ment and clear lines of sight even after the airbags are activated. The results speak volumes in support of ABS® and the principle of self-rescue based on burial prevention: Out of 262 persons who activated their ABS®

avalanche airbag, 97% survived and 84% of them were uninjured.* After all, you can only help your companions if you are not buried yourself. The advantages of the ABS® TwinBag System is based on ten principles.

THE 10 ABS® SURVIVAL PRINCIPLES

The original self-rescue system, produced and tested by German avalanche experts since 1985.

The ABS® TwinBags do not turn your body into the dangerous and helpless “bug” position.

Out of 262 people with an inflated ABS® avalanche airbag, 97% have survived, 84% of them without injury.

In the event of an avalanche, the airbags at the sides of the wearer’s body create a wide contact surface. This horizontal position helps to prevent the victim being trapped in the run-out zone.

If one airbag fails during the descent, the other will remain inflated for a sufficient length of time. ABS® therefore uses two airbags instead of one to ensure additional protection.

In 97% of all recorded avalanche accidents with an inflated airbag, the TwinBags were visible on the surface after the avalanche.

An unrestricted view and unlimited freedom of movement enable escape from the avalanche.

Personal practice activation at home, on the mountain slope or at your ABS® retailer’s.

Pyrotechnical-pneumatic activation for maximum reliability, instead of vulnerable Bowden pull solutions.

The ABS® TwinBags can be repacked easily, quickly and safely and are ready for use within no more than a few minutes.
