About this Integration
• The Ambassador App for Salesforce does the following:
• Adds ambassadors as contacts OR custom objects
• Syncs ambassador, commission & group data
• Automatically creates commission workflows via SF leads & opportunities
Installing the Application
Installation 1. Find us in the AppExchange

2. Click continue & approve 3rd Party Access.
Installation 3. Navigate to the
Ambassador App (top right nav)
4. You’ll land on the “Setup” tab. Login* to begin. *requires an Ambassador account
5. Click OK, to get redirected.

6. Click “Allow” after reading the Ambassador permissons
7. Allow the app permissions& login to your Ambassador account to connect to Salesforce.

5. When creating a contact in SF, click “Create Ambassador” to create them.
6. *The email address is required.
7. Within a minute or two, they’ll be in the Ambassador list!

9. It will match the email address, and update the record accordingly.

Setup: Lead Field Mapping (Step 2)
Leads Record Mapping1. If passing leads into
Salesforce, you can map fields from Ambassador (left) to SF.
2. “Event Data” is specific to the event (ex: time) while the “Custom Label” is specific to the lead (ex: industry)
Setup: Automated Campaign Options (Step 3)
Campaign Setup
1. Go to the setup configuration and click on “Click here”
2. Choose the campaign* (from Ambassador) to sync, click it. *campaign must be created in Ambassador first

4. Choose to create commissions for: - lead creation - lead conversion- negative opportunity stage- positive opportunity stage
5. Connect Ambassador campaigns to SF campaigns
Setup: Web-to-Lead Tracker (Step 4)
Adding the Web-to-Lead Tracker1. Copy the Web-to-Lead
tracking code and paste it on the page with your existing web-to-lead form.
2. Use your own form ID*.
3. Our snippet will do the rest!*You must find the form ID and paste it in the tracker snippet (highlighted in red)
For use with other Lead forms1. If using Eloqua, Marketo,
Hubspot, etc:
2. Grab the “short_code” from the referrer (using a hidden form field); and
3. Pass it into Salesforce “Lead.Ambassador__Short_Code__c” field via that systems connector.
Setup: Ambassador Import (Step 5)
Ambassador Import1. Once you click “Initial
Ambassador Import” your ambassadors will be added to Salesforce using rules set in (1).
2. This will keep Ambassadors in sync.

Best Practices
• Be sure to test before launching!
• Walk through and test the program from your customer’s perspective. Understand how they view the form and provide relevant directions.

Step 4: Gotchas!
Gotchas!
• You must have the Salesforce Enterprise Edition to use this package.
• Be sure that the form ID is correctly placed in the Web-to-Lead tracker code.
