C. Eligibility

"NIPM National HR Excellence Award" may beconsidered separately, at the discretion of thejury, for nominees belonging to the followingsegment of products/services:

D. Rules & Regulations

1. Decision of the Award Jury is final and noappeal or correspondence will beentertained. Award Secretariat reservesthe right to declare more than one nomineeas the winner, and could also with holdaward(s), if the required standard is notmet.

2. Award for each category may be given,even if there is only one application in anyof the categories provided it meets thebenchmark set for the category (as decidedby the Jury).

3. Jury may not approve any Award, if theapplicants do not meet the benchmark.

4. Award applicants may be invited to makea presentation/interview before thevalidation team/Jury and/or one of theassessors may be nominated to confirm orclarify certain facts at site. Travel and stayexpenses, if any, will be borne by the

applicant. The applicant shall make his/herown arrangements to reach and makepresentation and appear interview onscheduled date, time & venue. NIPM shallnot bear any cost in this regard.

5. NIPM accepts no liability for any lossresulting from the disclosure of informationconcerning an applicant to Assessors or Jurymembers or NIPM, though all reasonableprecautions will be taken to maintainconfidentiality. NIPM cannot undertake toreturn documents or supplementarymaterial submitted with an entry and it shallbe the property of NIPM

6. Applications received after last date andincomplete applications shall be summarilyrejected

7. Under no circumstances the fees paid shallbe refunded

8. NIPM reserves the right to not award in anycategory if found insufficient entries or notdeserving applications due to lowparticipation / on reserving applicants /unforeseen circumstance.

9. NIPM reserves the right to alter the AwardScheme, at any time.

E. Nomination FeesThe application fee is Rs. 3000/- (inclusive ofGST) for each category. An applicant can submitapplication for one category only. However,he/she has to pay application fee for thecategory. The fee should accompany yourapplication in the form of Demand Draft / BankTransfer in favour of "National Institute ofPersonnel Management", payable at Kolkata.The last date for receipt of the application alongwith fees and supporting documents at theaddress mentioned below is 08th March, 2020.

THE 'HR BEST PRACTICES' AWARDTo Identify 'The HR Best Practicing Organizations' and to publicly appreciate their significantHR processes and initiatives, NIPM had instituted this prestigious National Award in 2008to acknowledge and encourage the organizations in our country for their HR best practices.The winning organizations not only get professional appreciation for their effort but theyalso earn significant goodwill in the corporate world and society. They become the leadersin HR field whose examples are emulated by others; for attaining the kind of care andnurturing this most precious resource demands. In the process, people, organizations andthe society are not only benefited but also create a niche in the history of Human ResourceDevelopment & Evolution.

Category 'A : Organizations having more than 5000 employees.

Category 'B': Organizations having employee strength from 1501 upto 5000.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATEThis highly prestigious all-India HR competition is open for the following categories oforganizations: -

1. All Corporates (both Public & Private Sectors) from all the Sectors and Units of Industries& Businesses / Services.

2. Government & Semi-Government bodies & Cooperative Organizations.

The participating organizations in the above categories must be active in business in Indiaat least for the past two years. Indian companies having units operating overseas are alsoeligible to participate.

PARTICIPATION FEES

1. The entry fee of the 3 categories as follows :-

(i) Rs.50,000/- + 18% GST for Category-'A' organizations;

(ii) Rs.35,000/- + 18% GST for Category-'B' organizations and

(iii) Rs.25,000/- + 18% GST for Category-'C' organizations;

Partcipations fees is required to be paid at the time of submission of application by theparticipating organizations through online/demand draft drawn in favour of 'National Instituteof Personnel Management' payable at Kolkata, by 29th February, 2020.

B. EVALUATION STAGES AND METHODS1. Assessment of application documents by a Committee consisting of HR experts/ NIPM Senior

members of eminence, who will grade the HR practices out of 30 points. Weightage: 30%2. Validation of applications by a team of two / three experienced HR assessors who will visit

the participating organizations for on-site assessment to validate the application status, andwho will grade the HR practices out of 40 points. Weightage: 40%

3. Power Point/Oral presentation by participating organizations 'officials before the Jury Panelwho will assess / grade the presentations out of 30 points. Weightage :30%

4. The top two scoring organizations out of 100 grade points shall be declared as NIPM Gold &NIPM Silver awardees in each category. The Committee may consider declaring joint Winner(Gold) & Runners-up (Silver) in case scores are tied for 1st / 2nd Position(s).

5. The decision of the Jury shall be final in the matter of evaluation /assessment. The applicationdocuments and presented papers of the concerned organizations shall be in the possessionof NIPM and NIPM reserves the right to publish them in its journal for knowledge sharing.

6. NIPM reserves the right to not award in any category if found insufficient entries or notdeserving applications due to low participation / on reserving applicants / unforeseencircumstance.

D. PROCEDURE FOR PARTICIPATION & ALLIED COST

1. The participating organizations shall send their application (five hard copies and onesoft copy in CD / Pen-drive form) along with the entry fee of Rs.50,000/- + 18% GST,Rs. 35,000/- + 18% GST or Rs.25,000/- + 18% GST as the case may be).

2. The actual expenditure for the on-site validation by the NIPM team of two / threeassessors, towards their travel / transport, board & lodging etc. for such onsiteassessment; to be fully arranged & borne by the concerned participating organizations.

3. Mode of to and fro travel to be arranged by the participating companies for theNIPM assessors - by Air-Economy Class. Where Air-travel is not available / feasible,mode of travel to be arranged by Train by AC-1st Class or by AC-2 Tier(where AC- 1st Class not available).

4. The participating organizations' official(s) shall make their own arrangements fortravel, board & lodging, and for giving their presentation at the National Workshopand thereafter, for receiving the trophies / certificates at the NIPM National AwardsFunction to be held at PUNE (The date and venue shall be intimated later on).

5. THE APPLICATION DOCUMENT SHALL CONTAIN THE INFORMATION ON ALLDIMENSIONS ENUMERATED BELOW :-

i) Category of the Organization i.e. 'A', 'B' or 'C' (w.r.t. employee strength:'A': more than 5000 'B': from 1501 upto 5000 'C': upto 1500)

E) PRIVLEGES / FACILITIES FOR WINNERS I RUNNERS-UP

The NIPM Gold and NIPM Silver awardees will be entitled to the following:-

Winning & Runners-up Participants of this prestigious Award will receive in person,their respective trophies & certficates at the most glittering NIPM National Awardsfunction will be held in the presence of most eminent personalities of the HR fraternityand other dignitaries/delegates from India & abroad.

2. Free Participation (as delegate) of two officials from Gold winning companies, andone official from Silver winning companies, at the function.

F) MERIT CERTIFICATE

Certifcate of Merit will be issued to the other participating Companies in categories 'A'.'B' and 'C' (i.e. other than Gold/Silver winning organizations).
