About Toni Toni Zaffa began in musical theatre and has worked in film and television.She has written and recorded for internationally acclaimed artists, INXS and Tina Turner.Toni played the "Soul Sister" in the Australian National Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar.She has performed throughout the USA including Los Angeles, Denver, New Orleans and The Deep South.Toni resided in New York City for six years and performed regularly at renowned jazz venues including The Red Eye Grill and the Metropolitan Cafe with members of the David Letterman Band and Randy Brecker, to name a few.Toni carries on the interpretive Jazz tradition of Carmen McRae, Aretha Franklin and Sarah Vaughan.She has a multi-octave range, a rich, velvety voice and unique, heartfelt inflections. About Musicans PETER WALTERS – BASSIST M.M. Composer, Arranger and Producer, Upstanding and Elcectic Bassist and Guitarist. Peter Walters has been regarded as the premium jazz bassist in Brisbane for over a decade. He has worked as a freelance bassist in almost every setting from Traditional Jazz and Blues, Contemporary Jazz, Fusion, Funk and Motown, and is constantly in demand as a session player for studio work. He also tutors bass at both QUT and Queensland Coneservatorium. Peter's deep interest in the forms and evolution of jazz vis a vis the acoustic bass has enabled him to perform at a high level with a great diversity of jazz artists both vocal and instrumental. Some of the great artists Peter has performed with include:Johnny Griffin, Clifford Jordan, Vanessa Rubin, Sheila Jordan, Joachim Kuhn and Annie Ross as well as Australian greats like James Morrison and Don Burrows to name but a few. As well as supporting major acts like Wynton Marsalis and Joe Jackson and touring Australia as support for Diana Krall, Peter has also played many festivals around Australia, recorded extensively (his latest collaboration winning recording industry awards) and worked abroad in Tokyo, Bali and Christmas Island. He is also a prolific writer and arranger, has just completed his Masters Degree in composition and put the finishing touches to his original score for SBS documentary "Black Soldier Blues".
