Few Important Events of Our Journey So Far

Abhumka Herbal Pvt Ltd is a social enterprise company, deeply

engrossed in formulizing and translation of indigenous herbal

knowledge into healthcare products for human, animal and agriculture

and compensating the indigenous herbal healers known as Bhagats.

Bhagats are tribal herbal healers and moving encyclopedia of the great

treasure of medicinal plants in India. It is to be noted that tribal

communities uses 8000 species of medicinal plants where as only 900

species are used as medicines in Ayurveda.

Very few people know that the first antimalerial drug quinine was

discovered out of traditional herbal practice of Quecha tribe of Peru.

Therefore, needless to discuss that this traditional knowledge can be

very cost effective and short-cut tool for new drug development.

Every year we felicitate our herbal healers in Dang Darbar.
