Curtis Stigers has been bringingthose worlds together in his own music for thelast three decades, and now, with a top notch BigBand, he captures the rare alchemy of hipness, elegance, playfulness and feeling that made Sinatra’s renditions of these songs immortal whileadding his own unique twist. It’sa treat” (London Jazz). Guesting withthem tonight is one of the giants ofcontemporary tenor sax playing, RickMargitza. When he played in MilesDavis’ classic 80s electric group hebrought intelligence along with passionand power. He’s a throwback to WayneShorter, Michael Brecker and JohnColtrane, all in one.
