The mustard seed is small, but brings forth a large tree, and the fowls lodge in the branches. The fowls are the angels. Thus angels come down, combine together to gather their children, and gather them. We cannot be made perfect without them, nor they without us; when these things are done, the Son of Man will descend, the Ancient of Days sit; we may come to an innumerable company of angels, have communion with and receive instruction from them.” Joseph Smith Vaughn J. If you have had the feeling that someone on the other side is trying to “gather” you, orsolicit your help (referred to in parable of the mustard tree), may I make a suggestion? Geton your knees and acknowledge it to the Lord. Then, make a commitment–a commitmentof time according to your season of life. Keep that commitment. Pray and ask the Lordwhat you should do to use the time well. I believe inspiration will come.

Richard G. Scott, Ensign, Nov. 1990, Redemption: The Harvest of Love"This is a spiritual work, a monumental effort of cooperation on both sides of the veil wherehelp is given in both directions. It begins with love. Anywhere you are in the world, withprayer, faith, determination, diligence, and some sacrifice, you can make a powerfulcontribution. Begin now. I promise you that the Lord will help you find a way. And it willmake you feel wonderful."
