How to Get Started?ABCD 101

! WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 9TH

9:30 am to 4:00 pm (Lunch Included)Cost: $35 (or $45 for the ABCD 101 and 201 package)   Join us for a one-day overview of the principles and practices of ABCD. The day will integrate group discussion and practical examples of ABCD. Topics covered will include: ·   Working WITH the community ·   Gifts of individuals, associations, institutions·   Listening and asset mapping·   Learning conversations to discover CARE·   Principles, practices, dimensions of ABCD

How Do I Go Deeper? ABCD 201

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 10TH

9:00 am to 1:00 pm  Cost: $30 (or $45 for the ABCD 101 and 201 package)

Join us for a half-day training to further develop your ability to integrate ABCD into your work. You must attend ABCD 101 before attending ABCD 201. Topics covered will include:

·   What do I do starting Monday?

·   Connecting gifts to opportunities

·   Mobilizing for change

·   A plan for implementing ABCD in your context

Who Would Find ABCD Helpful?ABCD draws upon existing community strengths to build stronger, more sustainable neighborhoods for the future. Anyone interested in learning how to engage parents, build on the skills of local residents, harness the power of local associations, and better coordinate the supportive functions of local institutions would find this workshop beneficial.
