ABC Analysis

ABC Analysis is a method of determining the value of items in your Inventory, ranking your items according to a criterion and then grouping items into classes. ABC refers to the rankings you assign your items as a result of this analysis.where A items are more valuable than B items and so on.

To perform ABC Analysis, the setup steps are:

1.Define ABC compile2.Define ABC classes3.Define ABC Group4.Define ABC Assignments5.Update ABC Assignments6.Run ABC Assignments reports

Step 1) Define ABC Compile. Navigate to Inventory->ABC codes->ABC compile->Click New.Give compile name.

In the Criterion field, select Current on hand Quantity from LOV.

Now click the Compile Tab.

The screen will display as shown below.

Step 2) Now define ABC Classes.

ABC classes used to group items based on the valuation we determine in step 1

Step 3) Now define ABC Assignment groups

Assignment group assign the ABC classes with ABC Compile.

Navigate to ABC Assignment group.

Give the Group name and also select the Compile Name from the LOV.

Now click Group Classes.

In the ABC Group, Select the Class name as per details shown below.

Step 4) Click the Assign items. Enter the details in the Seq field in the A class and B class. C class will be populated automatically based on the number of items as shown below.

Step 5)

Now click the Update items. The system will popup the details as shown below.

We can change the class of the item as per the Client's requirement.

With this, ABC Analysis has been completed.
