When searching for “afford-able elegance,” in the Lower Mainland, Brooklyn condomini-ums is an ideal place to begin,

Quantum Properties is advising new buyers to take advantage of the first-time new home buyers bonus. This allows a one-time payment worth up to $10,000 for B.C. residents purchasing their first home. The final date of eligibil-ity for the bonus is March 31, 2013.

Marketing manager of Quantum Properties Lisa Lawry, urges consumers, to take advantage of this limited offer.

She says there will be no new condominium projects complet-ed in Abbotsford until late in 2013 or early 2014 – which may be too late for buyers to qualify for the bonus program.

Brooklyn is nearing comple-tion and will soon have 87 condos available for move-in, with prices ranging from $169,900 up to $299,900 including HST.

The target market is “downsizers looking for a lock-and-go lifestyle, and first-time home buyers,” says Lawry.

Located in the heart of Abbotsford, at 3192 Gladwin Rd., the gated community is situated only minutes from major shopping centres, restaurants, parks, and other recreational amenities. The ever-popular Discovery Trail system that spans the community from east to west, is also accessible nearby.

Currently under development, the gated-community is looking towards offering 120 new lots. The plan is to release the homes in stages, with 44 lots already in discussion for the west side end of the property.

The homes will be divided into separate layouts, with a bigger estate style lot with a built in garage construct-ed along a ravine, and single family homes of varying sizes in the interior of the property, featuring a detached garage.

Sales manager of Blauson Homes, Donna Heath, says plans “aren’t yet official for the exact details of the building structure, and instead will be determined by how the market is doing.”

Typically, the demographic for the new developments will maintain the same focus as the rest of Auguston, which is “a place for people of all ages to call home.”

The additions to the Auguston area will be constructed amongst a “rich array of natural settings, neighbourhood

parks and the local school,” adds Heath. “We want to maintain the feel of a family oriented residential community.”

The presentation pavilion is open by appointment only, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 36363 Auguston Parkway South. Prices for the new development have not yet been determined.
