Gearing up for a lot of things upcoming.First and foremost is Tallahassee. This is avery important run. It will be April 13 – 15,2019. The chapter has reserved 4 additionalhotel rooms for riders to attend. We arerequesting that we have at least 8 moreriders to ride on Monday 15, April 2019, tothe Capitol. If you are riding on Monday, youcan stay at the hotel at no charge. Rooms arefilling up quickly so contact me if you plan ongoing. We will be leaving from the 7 11 atKings Highway and Sandhill Blvd on April 13,2019 at 7:30 am. Contact me if you plan to

ride with us. We will be setting up a booth at Arcadia Bikefest, March 30, 2019 ifyou want to help us out please let us know. Set up will be 8:00am. Eventis from 9:00 am to 6:00 PM. All help will be appreciated. We will be flipping burgers again at Bert’s Black Widow HD. Thefirst date will be April 20 & 21. Please, come out and support us orhelp. So, we will be busy for the next couple of months. T he legislative session started on March 5. Please pay attention toemails and Facebook posts. We may need you to contact legislators at ashort notice. Daytona starts March 8-17. If you are going, be safe and rideresponsibly. Ride TherapyAhhh... It’s a Wednesday. You come home after a brutal day at work.You say out loud to yourself, “Hmmm, today is Wednesday. I think Ineed to get some Ride Therapy in tonight!”

With that in mind, you change your clothes, hop on your bike, and witha huge smile on your face, you head out to the Race Trac gas stationon Toledo Blade Blvd (corner of El Jobean Road - SR 776).

It’s just about 6:45 pm and you start hearing and seeing other ridersrolling in. That smile still hasn’t left your face as you greet otherriders at the Race Trac! Ah yes! Wednesday night Ride Therapy! (Orin some cases, “Wind Therapy!”) It’s time to ride off to a destinationunknown!

Basic riding rules always apply:1. If you’re tired, DON’T RIDE!2. If you’re not feeling well, DON’T RIDE!3. If you’ve been drinking, DON’T RIDE!4. If your friend is not 100%, DON’T LET THEMRIDE!5. When was the last time you checked the AIR inyour TIRES?6. When was the last time you looked at the TREADand SIDEWALLS for WEAR OR DRY ROT?7. Please stay HYDRATED, drinking plenty of WA-TER! NOT BEER OR ALCOHOL to stay hydrated, espe-cially during the summer, as the evaporation rate is

much higher when riding. Beer and alcohol (These are actually diuretics and will makethings worse much faster.. nick) to stay hydrated, especially during the summer, as theevaporation rate is much higher when riding. Heat stroke is no joke!

8. POLARIZED SUNGLASSES are very important, as they will prevent the heat wavescoming off of the hot pavement from looking like a puddle of water.

9. DO NOT RIDE FASTER THAN YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL CAN FLY!10. IF YOU SEE SOMEONE OUT AND ABOUT THAT IS IMPAIRED IN ANY MANNER,

YOU SHOULD INTERVENE. YES, IT CAN GET UGLY, BUT DEATH IS NOT REVERS-IBLE. IT MIGHT BE SOMEONE ELSE YOU SAVE AND NOT THAT PERSON.

Sheba Abraham - Motorcycle Crash: A Case StudyBy Sheba Abraham Goldberg Noone Personal Injury Attorneys

Information about one of our recent personal injury cases.CASE FACTS: In March of 2018, our client was riding hisHarley Davidson westbound on S.R. 82 in East Fort Myers. Ashe was approaching the gas station, a vehicle was exiting theparking lot and proceeded to make a right turn directly intoour client's path of travel, resulting in a near-fatal crash. TheFort Myers Police Department investigated and determinedthat the driver of the other vehicle was at-fault for failing toyield the biker's right of way. However, the driver's insurancecompany tried to deny full responsibility, claiming our clientwas speeding and should have been able to avoid the crash.INJURIES: Our client was transported by Lee County EMStrauma alert to Lee Memorial Hospital. He was diagnosed withTraumatic Brain Injury and spent 7-8 days in the IntensiveCare Unit. He required multiple surgeries, including a humeralsurgery resulting in a rod being placed into his arm and 40

staples.He also had Le Fort fracture, which is a trans-facial fracture of the midface, resulting in metalplates being placed into his cheeks, and his jaw was wired shut for about 6 weeks.Overall, he was in the hospital for an extended period of time, and his medical bills totaledapproximately $400,000.Unfortunately, the at-fault driver only had $25,000 of bodily injury liability insurance coverage. We demanded this amount and recovered payment in full. Then, we determined our client may beentitled to an additional $50,000 of coverage under another auto insurance policy. We filed anUnderinsured Motorist claim. However, his insurance company denied his claim, claiming that hewas not an insured person under their policy. Our team of attorneys obtained proof of hiseligibility and fought the UM insurer until we finally obtained an additional $50,000 of insurancecoverage for our client. In the end, there was only $75,000 of insurance coverage available, andwe obtained every penny.But our job didn't end there. With his approximately $400,000 in medical bills, we fought hardto successfully negotiate the overwhelming bills down to make sure that our client, rather thanthe huge hospital system, recovered reasonable compensation.When someone suffers serious injuries like in this case, the last thing he should be worryingabout is how to pay his medical bills. Even when it appears there is only limited insurance available,we will do everything we can to bring our client the peace of mind of knowing that his bills will betaken care of, so he can focus on healing and getting better.A lot of law firms may have accepted the $75,000 worth of available insurance coverage on behalfof the client and walked away. We're proud we were able to go the extra mile in this case toreduce the financial burden on this young man, and to do everything we could to help him get onwith his life.

The legislative session is upon us. It started on 5,March and will continue until 3, May. We have a couple ofpieces of legislation we are working on. First up is theVulnerable road users Bill. This legislation is to make amore clarification on penalties of drivers who seriouslyinjure or kill a vulnerable road user as defined. Thislegislation defines a vulnerable road user as pedestrians,bicyclists, and motorcyclists. I previously sent out emailsfor you to contact legislators and not only ask them tosupport but to ask them to cosponsor Senate Bill 158 and

House Bill 71. If, you haven’t done it please do so. Also, include House Bill 2001 toRepresentatives as well. This is the $300k that is in the budget for Abate to use forSafety and Education. Both pieces of legislation are important for motorcyclists inthe State of Florida.The following is an example of an email;Hello Representative _____________My name is ________, I live in _________ and I am a member of ABATE of Florida,Inc. Peace River Chapter.I am writing to ask you to please consider co-sponsoring HB 71 by Rep. Mc Clain titled“Traffic Offenses.“ HB 71 helps protect the Vulnerable Road Users (VRU) byproviding the judges more options when they sentence or fine someone found guiltyviolating a traffic law that injures or kills a vulnerable road user All of the motorcyclists and other VRU's in SW Florida would be very happy to seeyou sign on as a co- sponsor. Sunday, April 21, we will be having an Easter Son Rise Serviceat the Bayfront Center, 750 W. Esplanade, Punta Gorda from 6:00am –8:00am. Come early for fellowship, coffee and treats. Services willstart at 0645. We have a great speaker so please invite your friendsand family.

Now YOU know.But here are a few things you may not know.There are between 50-150 prophecies in the Old Testament,

written between 1,000 years to 500 years before Christ whichdescribe the birth of Our Savior, His Name, His genealogy, His placeof birth, His Ministry, His manner of death (crucifixion, a manner ofexecution unknown when written), and His resurrection.

All of these prophecies can be authenticated in the Tanakh,the scripture Christians refer to as the Old Testament, the HolyScriptures which are still honored by the Jews today!

The Tanakh is so accurate that many Rabbis have purposelyomitted Isaiah 53 and other verses describing Jesus and His ministryin order to deny the Deity of Jesus. One day the Light will enter their

world as it is currently doing within the Messianic Jewish Community. It's only a matter of time.Years ago, these prophecies, which were fulfilled by Jesus Christ, were given to those within the

“Probability and Statistics” disciplines in which it was calculated that by fulfilling just 8 of them that theodds would be one out of ten to the seventeenth power. That's ten with seventeen zeros. By fulfilling all, atthe low calculation of 45 the odds would be one out of 10 to the 157th power. One in ten with 157 zeroes. Toput this in understandable form, it was calculated that if you were to cover the entire state of Texas withsilver dollars to the depth of two feet, place a blindfolded person in the middle of the state and ask them tocorrectly pick up the silver dollar that was marked, you would have accurately selected the correct silverdollar and win the whole pile of silver dollars! Good luck.Here is a short list of prophecies:

· Be born in Bethlehem. The city of bread.- Micah 5:1(2)· Be the seed of Abraham. Genesis 12:3· Be born a virgin. Isaiah 7:14· But one of my most favorite ones is:· Entering Jerusalem publicly on a donkey. Zechariah 9:9What is the significance?Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey on Nisan 10! That day is the day the “Perfect Lamb of God”,

without spot or blemish, rode into Jerusalem and is the same day in which Jews select a perfect lamb to besacrificed for the Seder Meal as a yearly “sin” offering. These are the Jewish “High Holy Days” theatonement for sins.

Yes, the “Lamb” was sacrificed and yes, our sins forgiven because of the “Perfect Lamb of God” not justfor one year as the Jews believe, but forever! To Him be the glory, Amen!

This is why we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, Easter. It is why we are free and why we share the joyand peace of Our Lord and Savior. He is alive!
