  • 1. EXTENSION DESCRIPTIONMagento Abandoned Cart Recovery extension offers in-depths cart abandonment analytics, automated email reminders and detailed retargeting campaign results.

    Email Rules - Use ready-to-send targeted email reminders or create your own rules. Choose email templates for each rule. Apply rules for specific store views or customer groups. Track recovered revenue for each rule.

    Pending Alerts - Monitor all the scheduled email reminders. Adjust (edit/remove) and add new alerts manually or automatically. Track the details for each alert.

    Alerts Log - Track all the information of every remarketing email campaign: the time when the cart was abandoned.recovered, cart total, customers info, etc.

    Email Templates - Use 3 predefined ready-to-use email templates or build your own.

    Magento & Customer Dashboards - Check the cart overview dashboard and the main metrics(the abandonment rate, abandoned/recovered and lost revenue).

    Reports - Track the details about the abandoned carts by categories:

    Abandoned Carts by Customer Group; Abandoned Carts by Location; Abandoned Carts by Store Views; Abandoned Carts by Devices; Abandoned Carts by Email Templates.

  • 2. EXTENSION INSTALLATION

    To install the extension, please follow the steps below:

    1. Disable the Compilation Mode (if enabled)

    2. Enable Magento cache (if disabled)

    3. Log out from Magento Admin Panel (if logged in)

    4. Unpack the contents of the Extension folder (depending on your current Magento version) from the package file purchased from Mageworx to your Magento root folder

    5. Log into Magento Admin Panel

    6. Go to System Cache Management section, choose Refresh under the All Cache drop-down menu and press the Save Cache Settings (if Cache Control is enabled in Magento)

    76. Run the Compilation Mode back if necessary (not enable but run it)

    7. Go to System Configuration MageWorx tab Extensions & Support section. If you see Abandoned Cart Recovery in the list of installed MageWorx extensions, the installation is done.

  • 3. GENERAL SETTINGSTo configure the extension, log into Magento Admin panel and go to System Configuration MAGEWORX Abandoned Cart Recovery section.

    Here is what each of the setting does:

    Enable E-mail Sending - the setting enables sending reminder emails to customers. It can be enabled/disabled per Store View.

    Cart Lifetime (minutes) - specifies the time after which a shopping cart becomes abandoned.

    Enable Login Customer From E-mail - lets customers login right from e-mails.

    4. EMAIL RULESTo send email reminders to customers who abandoned their carts, create rules here: Sales - Abandoned Cart Recovery - Rules.

  • Here you can track the recovered revenue of each rule and sort it by the available amount if necessary.

    To add a new rule, click on the Add New Rule button. There are 3 available tabs:

    General Information:

    Here you can specify a rule name, select a website and customer groups this rule should be applied to and a status of the rule.

    Conditions:

  • You can use all available product attributes, cart attributes and payment/shipping details.

    Email settings:

    Here you can:

    select an email template that should be used for this rule, specify the time frame after which the email will be sent, assign a discount coupon.

    5. PENDING ALERTSTo monitor the scheduled emails, go to Sales - Abandoned Cart Recovery - Pending Alerts. The system schedules reminders when the cron is launched. A reminder for each rule is scheduled for each customer. If the customer recovers the cart following the link from one of the emails, the further emails wont be sent. You can remove manually any email before sending.

    Pending alerts shows:

    the date when the cart was abandoned, the date and time when the alert will be sent, the rule name that generated this alert, a customer name, email and a customer group, products that were abandoned.

  • 6. ALERTS LOGOnce the scheduled emails were sent, they are moved from the Pending Alerts section to the Alerts Log, where you can see full details about every sent email.

    Every row in the alerts log corresponds to every sent email and includes the following details:

    Abandoned At a date and time when the cart was abandoned;

    Sent At a date and time when the email was sent;

    Recovered At a date and time when the cart was recovered using the links from a reminder email;

    Customer Name, Customer Email and Customer Group;

    Rule Name a rule name that generated the alert;

    Cart Total a total of abandoned cart;

    Order ID ID of the recovered order;

    Products list of products in the abandoned cart;

    Alert Status a status of the alert (sent/deleted).

    Note! The system logs even deleted alerts.

    Cart Status a status of the abandoned cart after sending reminder emails. The system tracks and shows the following actions with the abandoned cart:

    Abandoned if the cart is still abandoned after sending a reminder email;

    Abandoned Again if a customer abandoned the cart again;

    Link Clicked if a customer clicks on the link in the reminder email;

    Completed Manually if a customer completed the cart manually without following the recovered links;

  • Recovered if a customer recovered the abandoned cart following the links from the emails.

    7. EMAIL TEMPLATESThe extension has 3 predefined ready-to-use email templates. You can use our templates or build your own. To preview the templates or create a new one, go to System - Transactional Emails:

    8. MAGENTO AND CUSTOMER DASHBOARDSTo check the cart overview dashboard and the main metrics, go to the Dashboard section.

    The extension calculates the abandonment rate of your site, abandoned, recovered and lost revenue.

  • The extension also draws the graph with the abandoned carts at different time of the day. You can build this graph for different time range.

    To check the same metrics for each customer, go to Customers - Manage Customers:

    9. REPORTSTo track the details about the abandoned carts, go to Reports - Shopping Cart and choose the necessary category:
