The ABA offices are now located at Hyde Park Baptist Church at 3901 Speedway, Suite ABA, Austin, TX 78751. Mailing address: P.O. Box 4978, Austin, TX 78765. Our phone number and e-mail addresses are still the same. Why did we move? Four reasons why the ABA Leadership Team recommended and the Association, at the semi-annual meeting, unanimously voted to sell the building: 1. Associational strategy. This is the first and primary reason we believe the Lord called us to sell the building - lostness. Jesus came to seek and save the lost! We believe the primary mission of the ABA is to impact lostness through church planting in Austin and the surrounding areas. The proceeds from the sale of the building allow us to fund church planting on an unprecedented level for our association. 2. Decreased use of old facility. Times have changed. With the advance of technology, the usefulness of the building was not as crucial. When the building was constructed 35 years ago, it was used constantly. However, as the culture has become more mobile and technology friendly, we have seen a sharp decline in the use of the building. Leadership truly felt that we could not be good stewards and continue to ignore the decline in building use. 3. Less office space needed. Three of the offices at the former building were not being used on a regular basis. 4. The generosity of Hyde Park. Dr. Kie Bowman and the wonderful congregation at Hyde Park Baptist Church generously offered to house our offices - free of charge! We will still have the monthly meetings, but they will be held in various locations and hosted by churches throughout the Association! For instance, our August 15 th meeting will be held at the office of Starry. Starry is the foster care arm of Children at Heart ministries and is located near the Texas Baptist Children's Home in Round Rock. Our program in August will focus on Foster Care and Adoption, with guest speakers addressing the foster care crisis on the state level, talking about the need for foster parenting and adoption in the Austin area, and a presentation on how your church can get involved. Please mark your calendar for this important meeting - ABA meeting, August 15, 11:30-1:00 pm, at the Starry offices located at 1300 N. Mays St., Round Rock, TX 78664. Even though we got a great price for the building, the proceeds from the sale are exclusively for new work. Your continued financial support is needed to continue the operations as now we will be able to plant more churches and ministries, and reach more people than ever before. We hope you are excited as the staff and leadership team are about this innovative move! I would love for you to stop by and see our new office whenever you get a chance. For Christ and His Kingdom, David

THE ABA OFFICE HAS MOVED!

Four reasons why the ABA Leadership Team recommended and the Association, at the semi-annual meeting, unanimously voted to sell the building:

For instance, our August 15th

meeting will be held at the office of Starry.
