asem is co-head of Latin America, head of the Investment Banking Division(IBD) in Latin America and head of IBD forthe Southern region in the United States. Healso serves as global co-head of chemicalsand agriculture. Aasem is a diversitychampion for IBD and a member of theAmericas Inclusion and DiversityCommittee. Previously, he was a member of the EquityCapital Markets Group, where he focused onthe origination and execution of equity andequity-linked financings, including initialpublic offerings, follow-on transactions,block trades and convertibles. Aasem joinedGoldman Sachs in 1996 as an analyst on theMortgage-Backed Trading desk and wasnamed managing director in 2008 and partnerin 2016. Aasem serves on the Board of Trustees ofKenyon College, the President's AdvisoryBoard of the University of TexasSouthwestern Medical Center, the Board of

the Dallas Museum of Art, the Board of theDallas Regional Chamber and the Board ofthe Dallas Stars Ownership Advisory Group. Aasem earned a BA in Political Science,with distinction from Kenyon College in1996.
