• AAP was developed to add features that were requested by Key Customers for CAT testing

• AAP Control PC– Runs Windows 7 64-bit– Connects with the instruments in the following
way:• LAN – This is an IP address Ethernet connection to the
HP Procurve Gigabit Switch– Provides common face for the system– Connection to Customer Network without
modifying RTD or PCT PC operating system

Templates are used to distribute tests• Templates are divided into groups of tests or
archives.• Templates are distributed with the CAT library
release.– No templates are included with the AAP installers.

• The CAT software release notes will contain:– A list of tests included in the release.
• Including the template (or .ini) file for the tests.– Any additional components needed by tests.– Additional tests for engineering purposes.

The results and log files are automatically copied from the RTD PC to the AAP PC form locations specified in these controls. In the configuration shown above, the files from RTD PC in C:\RTDTest and C:\RTD_Results will be copied to C:\RTD_Results in the AAP PC. By clicking on each of the check boxes above, the column with the selected name is displayed or not displayed. ON/OFF. When on, results files from previous test will be copied from the RTD PC to the AAP PC and displayed on the screen.
Will store the results shown in the results window in a file c:\Anritsu\AAP Results\TestCases_<date>_<time>.html and .xml. After the results are saved, the screen is cleared. Will store the results in a comma delimited file. A file dialog window will pop up. Select the file name with the extension “.csv”

When Problems Occur• If you are having trouble with operating the
system – Review the Quick Start Guide and Installation
Manuals– Perform Ping connectivity check– Ensure AAP TCP Server is running on RTD PC– Screen saver should be turned off– Ensure RTD and CAT Library installed per the
release notes

When Problems Occur• Review CLI output log• Check Results directory to make sure all results were
processed• If there are many older RTD results when you run
AAP the first time, it may take 10-30 minutes to process results folder
• Some results are stored in C:\RTD_Results\Filtered Results
• TestStand output is stored were sequence was saved• Make sure Archive is entered into RTD, and all
patches applied (jar files in correct place)

• Make sure that the Windows Regional and Language options are set to English (United States)
• Make sure you are logged in as administrator and application is running as administrator
• Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Insert to change between operator and editor mode in TestStand

• If a particular test case is not working as expected – Ensure it is validated, see the release notes– Run the test case from the RTD PC under C:\test
directory, just double click the bat file to run– Send the output to a file and email file with ATMMI
proxy to support engineer– Any other information (proxy file, screen shots,
etc.)
