The Academy of Arts and Design is one of the top design schools in North America. We offer college level programs designed to develop practical skills for students aiming for a quality career in Design. All our existing programs yield a collegiate degree (ACS) recognized by the Canadian Government. Our courses are designed so you are fully trained in a fast pace learning environment lasting 17 months. Sessions begin in fall, winter and spring. Students can begin during the semester of their choice, and study part time or full time, day or night. Furthermore, all our courses are given in English or French and we concentrate our education on career programs and industry specific kn specific knowledge; therefore, we do not emphasize on more general programs and non industry-specific courses.

Our collegiate level programs are designed to develop hands-on knowledge and experience to thrust our students in a high demand carreer in the field of Design.

The fashion industry is a demanding field that expects and rewards excellence. Designers must have a strong sense of aesthetics and be aware of market requirements. Our school offers college training in Fashion Design that will develop the student's artistic and technical abilities in preparation for a rewarding career in an exciting and dynamic field. In addition to developing their personal style, graduates are trained to analyze trends and create new styles. Fashion Merchandising is a highly diverse profession. Successful fashion merchandisers constantly remain open to new trends. They determine merchandise prices based on the market, create inspired displays that boost sales, and possess encyclopaedic knowledge of the characteristics of different fabrics and of customers' buying habits. Interior Design is a creative and technically challenging field. Training at college for a career in interior decorating is for those who have a keen sense of aesthetics and a thorough understanding of the importance of using space effectively and efficiently. While learning different aspects of design, students develop the artistic abilities necessary in order to carry out both commercial and residential projects. The Academy in Montreal provides AutoCAD (computer assisted design) training that enables the student to be on the leading edge of the Interior Design Field. Our animation design program is defined by the development of a general culture of animation and basic training with the different graphic designs, information gathering, programming techniques, sound production, 2D and 3D animation and all the analyzed approach and quality cont and quality control.

Our program is recognized by the industry and our student’s are known for their particular competence in the 3D image and video production. Our students can work with companies in different domains such as a television and movie production, video games production and creation or be self-employed. They are also trained to work in multidisciplinary team and work in collaboration with other professional resources in this field.

More than ever, advertising and marketing are of vital importance to all successful organiza-tions – and with the emergence of the knowledge-based economy, career opportunities in the Advertising industry and computer graphics have never been better.

This industry demands and rewards creativity and so a major emphasis of the Advertising Design program is to enhance the students’ creativity while also developing their strategic thinking ability.
