PROGRAMS/PROJECTS BACKGROUND DESCRIPTION ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR THE YEAR
I. STUDENT DEVELOPMENT Administration of Diagnostic Test
Remedial Classes
MTAP Saturday Program
Math Club Organization
Diagnostic test was administered to all year level to
determine students stock knowledge of the subject
Remedial classes were developed by each school to
enhance mathematical skills of the students
The department of Education in cooperation to MTAP is
holding its annual MTAP Saturday Class which caters
students from G7 to Fourth Year on training of students
in preparation for the Division, Regional and National
Contest.
The Math Club Organization was created to give chance
to students who excel in Math to participate on the
different undertakings of the department through shared
responsibility.
Diagnostic Test was administered, results of mean, sd
and mps were computed
Remedial classes were held all year round specifically for
G& and G8 students
There are 294 participants from G7 to Fourth Year who
attended the Six Saturday MTAP Program
The department had organized a club with the following:

MTAP Training for Fourth YearStudents
Math Fair
The Secondary Mathematics Department, through Dr.Eduarda Zapanta, Conducted the MTAP Training for
Fourth Year Students on December 16-18, 2013 at Trece
Martirez City National High School.
Math Fair is an annual event for Mathematics
Department which focuses on strengthening skills and
abilities in Math through friendly Math competitions

The acting coach of fourth year, Mr. Ariel Arayata,Together with the three participants of fourth year
namely, Kyrinne Kate Viaje, Bryan Allison Martos and
Reynaldo Gerardo Carrillo attended and completed the
said seminar.
The Math Fair was conducted on November 30, 2013 at
Carmona National High School with 1000 participants
from G7 to Fourth Year.
II. STAFF DEVELOPMENT Mass Training of Grade 8 Teachers
on the K to 12 Basic Education
Program on May 20-24, and 27-31,
2013 at De La Salle University,
Dasmarinas City
Monthly Observation
In Service Training on :1. Computation of Mean, SD and
MPS
2. Test Construction3. Grading System for Grade 8
Masters Degree Program
DepEd in Region IV-A CALABARZON led the Regional
Mass training of Grade 8 Teachers on the K to 12 Basic
Education in the field of Mathematics
School heads and department heads conduct monthly
observation and monitoring of teachers performance
In Service training were held to upgrade teachers skills
and understanding on the Computation of Mean, SD and
MPS, Test Construction and Grading System for Grade 8
Teachers have enrolled in the Masters Degree Program
for continuous professional growth
Most Grade Math Teachers were trained
Secondary Math teachers have been observed by the
school heads and department heads.
Most secondary Math teachers have attended the in
service training

III. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT Acquisition of Additional Reference
Materials
Intervention materials
Worktext were acquired as additional reference
materials in teaching grade 8 students
Intervention materials were provided to slow learner
students
6 Worktext for Grade 8 teachers were acquired from Rex
Bookstore
Most participants were evaluated and increase on
proficiency level is observedIV. SPECIAL PROGRAMS and PROJECTS Math Learning Resource Center
(LRC)
Math Garden
Math Bingo
The Math LRC is a room which contains reference
materials, students output and other instructional
materials intended for Math
Math garden is created to have a friendly environment
for students when conducting activities during free time
Math Bingo is an annual fundraising campaign of the
Math Department which supports acquisition of learning
materials intended for the subject
The Math LRC have been maintained and served as an
avenue of learning
Math Garden reminds the students of math related
problems and solutions.
The Math Bingo was a success, from it, the department
was able to purchase 13 monitors, 18 speakers, 26 flash
drives, 4 amplifiers.
