Mahajana College Old Students Association - NSW/ACT/QLD (Australia) alias MCOSA NSW/ACT/QLD continued to support our school through J/ Mahajana College Tellippalai and Old Student Association - Tellippalai alias OSA - Telli () in collaboration with Global Net-work Of Mahajanans for year 2017.

Operational Expenses - Rs.350,000In 2017 our continued our commitment to support school operational expenses and we have contributed agreed Rs 350,000 as our share of contribution. As mandated by GNM Operational Expense Budget for 2017, OSAs from Australia to contribute Rs. 500,000 which was split be-tween The Mahjanans of Victoria (Australia) & MCOSA NSW/ACT/QLD amount of Rs.150,000 and Rs.350,000 respectively.

Initially we agreed to contribute to the annual Operational Expenses of the school on the assur-ance that over the years the school will gradually become independent and self funded hence the amount required to be contributed by the overseas OSAs will reduce. Contradictory to this expectation we see it increase. Further, in the recent years, we are experiencing lots of hurdles in raising funds as appetite for such events diminishing in the diaspora for various reasons.We kindly request Telli OSA and GNM take onboard this bitter truth when planning budgets for 2018 beyond.

Extra Educational Support Program - Rs.437,500Since 2015, our OSA has been running Extra Educational Support Program for Advanced Level students by giving them opportunity to extend their learning by giving them access to external teacher who are subject experts at the school outside school hours. This helps the students save time and money going to tuition at distance. We are have happy to see this program help-ing the Advanced Level students and the results are getting better year by year specially hav-ing seen a student entering Faculty Of Medicine in 2017 with high flying 3As after a long drought.

Future of Mahajana Workshop in TellippalaiIn the second half of 2017, Tellippalai OSA () organised a workshop to brainstrom the ideas to draft a strategic 5 Year plan. Our OSA has submitted a 9 pager comprehensive analysis paper with the submissions from management committee members. The participants of the workshop has acclaimed the professional nature of this paper.

In total, our OSA has contributed Rs. 787,500 for the development of our school for year 2017!
