The CAS requirement is a core part of the International Baccalaureate diploma. We can provide a number of options

that improve our environment or help and support local communities. Examples are: falaj construction, organic gardening, date farming, building traditional stone or barasti houses or shelters, trail building and maintenance, beach, wadi or mountain village clean ups. Students can also volunteer to marshall one of our series of adventure races or work with one of the charities we support.

We have a number of dhows available for water based adventure programs. For smaller groups we use

dhows with air-conditioned cabins, for larger groups open decked dhows with the option of sleeping in dome tents or under an open sky. Cruises are available from half a day to a full week and include snorkeling and fishing. Kayaking and deep water soloing can be added to any itinerary. Students taking part in dhow cruises have an opportunity to take a close look at the unique coastal process and marine life along the Musandam coast. During overnight trips meals and accommodation are provided on the dhow and the extended time means the group can travel further along the Musandam coast to see beautiful sea cliffs, small fishing villages and pods of dolphin.

stationed on site during programs. The camp is located under one kilometre from the beach and at the entrance to the stunning Hajjar mountains. The prime location means that many activities are conducted directly from the camp and others just a few minutes drive away.

THE ADVENTURE CENTRE The Adventure Centre is perfect for smaller

groups of up to 40 students. Accommodation is in dome tents pitched in our large courtyard with adult supervisors sleeping in the air-conditioned stone lodge. The property enjoys an ideal location facing Dibba’s sandy beach and is only two minutes’ drive from our larger Plantation Camp. The centre is enclosed by a high wall and has separate male and female bathrooms, a large bedouin tent with Arabic seating and a barasti hut overlooking the sea. Meals are prepared

onsite in our professional kitchen and served on our buffet.

FARFAR CAMPFarfar Camp is situated in the pretty coastal village of Lima, in a remote part of the Musandam and is an ideal base camp for expedition work. Set in a working date plantation accommodation is in barasti huts or canvas tents (depending on group size). The camp is named after the abundant, yellow flowering, Farfar trees that surround the farm. Students reach the camp by speedboat or dhow and venture from here into mountain areas rich with ancient ruins.

We are developing an organic farm here which will, eventually, provide most of the food for guests.

Omani metalworkers, engravers and potters can be brought to the camp to demonstrate their art.

CAMPINGWe have made arrangements with tribal sheikhs to

use remote beach and mountain village sites for our bivouacs. All remote areas are claimed by different

tribal groups. We always ensure we have permission from tribal elders before using any site. This has

enabled us to build trust and respect amongst the local people.
