This video was aimed at 12-15 year old teenage girls. We wanted to portray a POP genre towards our target audience. Who enjoy listening to upbeat music and at the same time a bit mature. We had chosen this target audience as our artist seems very feminine friendly. The audience feedback that we had received was very helpful. It enabled us to connect with our target audience and understand them. It allowed us to try and improve our work and make it to the best of our abilities. I enjoyed making the video as it allowed me to connect with my creative side. I allowed me to create images in my head and make them come before me. The positive feedback that we received had enhanced our confidence and allowed us to think that we had done a good job. However the negative feedback did not go down as well. We had received quite a few back comments but we had taken them in as a way to improve our work and if we were to do this again we would not repeat those mistakes. We got our feedback from different sources such as getting a focus group together and asking them questions. The comments of our music video on YouTube.

This video was aimed at 12-15 year old teenage girls. We wanted to portray a POP genre

towards our target audience. Who enjoy listening to upbeat music and at the same time a bitmature. We had chosen this target audience as our artist seems very feminine friendly.

The audience feedback that we had received was very helpful. It enabled us to connect withour target audience and understand them. It allowed us to try and improve our work and makeit to the best of our abilities.

I enjoyed making the video as it allowed me to connect with my creative side. I allowed me tocreate images in my head and make them come before me.

The positive feedback that we received had enhanced our confidence and allowed us tothink that we had done a good job. However the negative feedback did not go down as well.We had received quite a few back comments but we had taken them in as a way to improveour work and if we were to do this again we would not repeat those mistakes.

We got our feedback from different sources such as getting a focus group together and askingthem questions. The comments of our music video on YouTube.

I had gathered some people from our target audience and placed them in a

room for a few minutes. I had asked them to watch the video and answer a

few questions which I had placed in front of them in the form of a

questionnaire.

I had then placed the results of those questions in charts. In the focus group there

was 10 participants. I had only asked them five questions.

1. Did you like the music video?

Yes

No

It was okay

Some participants had said that the video was good enough that they would be glad to watch it again whist others

wouldn't even take a second look.

2.Did the video hold your

attention?

Yes

No

When asked this question the faces on the participants seemed a

little confused and it seemed to take them long to answer. However vast majority said that it had interested them as there was two parts to it not just a whole

performance piece or a whole narrative.

3.Do you think the video fits

the POP genre?

Yes

No

Dont Know

When I received the answers for

this question I was shocked.

However we had stated in the

questionnaire that they must

state, why?

Here are some

answers I received:

“ What is the POP genre?”

“ It does not make sense to

me, shouldn’t POP be like Miley

Cyrus?”“ I think it Does kind of but I

don’t understand the song. The

video is good and kept me

hooked on but like I said the

song.”

4.Does the music

video make you want

to buy the song?

Yes

No

The participants that had said yes

had given these as reasons:

“ I think if this songs is good

then the others must be as

good”

“ I love the artist”

Whilst the ones that said No was not

because of the video they

indeed stated that they

enjoyed the video but did not

like the sound of the artist.

Some of them said:

“ who is this guy , he cant sing”

“the videos okay but the artist

is wow and not in a good way”

5. State any improvements that we

can have made or complete

changes?

“ you could have different locations

instead of just to” “didn’t understand the song so if you could maybe do something about that” “none I liked it even the artist ““ maybe pick a better artist next time”“ I don’t know what you could change but I think you should improve the camera work”

This is the feedback that we

had received from YouTube.

As it is shown we had mixed

reviews . Some thought that it

was a good video whilst other

thought that the video did not

do the artist justice.

We had taken this feedback

and criticism quite well with

an open mind, which allowed

us to look at it from someone

else's perspective.
