A Word from Your President

D ear Foxrun Owners,

It is always a pleasure to enjoy the hospitality of the Mountains.

Even though the past few years have been challenging, your Board of Directors and our management company, VRI, has been able to accomplish many of the needed improvements within the budget. As noted in the General Manager’s report, decks, walkways, carpet and furniture replacements have been completed, along with approximately 30% of the kitchens. While we still have major retaining walls that need attention, we are diligently working

to complete these as quickly as possible.

The above upgrades to our units over the last three years have greatly enhanced our property and your vacation experience. Come visit your home resort and see how your vacation home has improved at FoxRun.

We have been very pleased in the recent months with the performance of Lake Lure Resort Realty in regards to resales.

Public Green Fees for Golf at Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure

Crisp mountain air and beautiful landscapes make golf in Lake Lure a players favorite. unbelievably low rates make golf in Lake Lure irresistible! Both of our championship golf courses have been selected as “Places to Play” by Golf Digest, a recognition we are proud of and one that you will notice during your round.

Bald Mountain Golf Course at Rumbling Bald Resort

Bald Mountain Golf Course was the first course built at Rumbling Bald Resort. Originally built in 1968, it’s name comes from the rock faced cliffs towering over the course and visible for most of your round. Despite it’s tremendous scenic views, it will be the less prominent features that command your attention to score well here. With well guarded greens and tight fairways, golfers must be precise with their drives and approach shots. Bald Mountain is a true challenge in a lovely setting. The course is popular for all

ages and abilities, and always receives high marks from Golf Digest readers. The course has 4 sets of tees and plays at 6,283 yards. The Course Rating is 70.9 and the Slope Rating is 128.

Apple Valley Golf Course at Rumbling Bald Resort

The Apple Valley course is a Dan Maples creation, and is called one of the most beautiful mountain courses around by Golf Digest’s “places to play.” Apple Valley’s length provides a number of opportunities for spectacular drives. It’s after the drive where golfers need to think clearly to score well. Well positioned bunkers and undulating terrain present a variety of tough shots to golfers of all abilities. The Course Rating is 73.2 and the Slope Rating is 140
