The 7th Annual Tee-off ‘Fore’ a Wish is taking place on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Breezy Bend Country Club and we would love for you to join us! Returning to the tournament are our event ambassador, Travis Hamonic from the New York Islanders and our event emcee, Sara Orlesky from TSN.

Guests can expect theme holes, giveaways and much more. As always the tournament will feature a variety of special competitions, a silent auction, a barbecue lunch and a sit- down dinner. Of course, this also includes 18-holes of golf (Texas Scramble format) on one of the top courses in Manitoba.

As an event sponsor, you will have the opportunity to create the magic of a wish for a local child, and make their most heartfelt wish come true.

Who We Are... Children’s Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children ages 3-17 coping with life- threatening illnesses.

From humble beginnings in 1983, granting fewer than 20 wishes a year, the Foundation has now established the capacity to fulfill over 1,000 wishes annually across Canada.The Children’s Wish Foundation owes this success to the hundreds of thousands of Canadians and Canadian businesses contributing their time, talents and money over the years to help us make wishes come true.

What we do... The Children’s Wish Foundation provides children suffering from illnesses such as cancer, congenital heart defects, cystic fibrosis and many other life-threatening conditions, their most heartfelt wish.

Our wishes fall under three categories: travel wishes, celebrity wishes, and item wishes. The most frequent wish we grant is a trip to Disney World. Wishes are decided upon by the child, not their parents, and each wish is as unique as the child who makes it. Wishes provide a temporary escape from the harsh realities these families face every day. They provide something to look forward to during treatments and create a positive opportunity to form happy childhood memories and celebrate life.

The Bottom Line... The Children’s Wish Foundation receives no government funding. We are dependent upon community-based events, individual donors, and business partnerships to achieve our goals. The cost of a wish varies, with the average sitting at $10,000.
