Big Band “Jazz” Christmas Concert This Sunday! This program of carol arrangements by Stan Kenton, Ralph Carmichael and Sammy Nestico has been a favorite for many years, and we are pleased to be able to present it again. The interlude moment this year will again feature a taste of the Charlie Brown music of Vince Guaraldi.
We are excited to have assembled another outstanding Band, with a trumpet section led by John Harbaugh, the French horns led by Jeff Snedeker, the trombones by Rich Dahl and David McLemore on
tuba. The rhythm section of Ric Pilgrim, piano; Bob Waldbauer, bass; and Don Kinney drums is top-notch and familiar to many of you.
Great arrangements and a great Band! We’ll see you and your friends this Sunday, December 13th at 2:00pm.
Christmas Family
Be on the lookout this coming Sunday for information about the Christmas Family that ECC will adopt this
year. We are still working on the details but we do know that our Christmas family has children attending
Gilbert Elementary School and there are four children.
There will be Post-It-Notes on the church office window this Sunday describing items that the family needs
or would like to receive. Please take one or two of the Post-Its, purchase the items and then return them to the
church office WRAPPED and tagged with the Post-It Note.
The gifts will then be delivered to the family in time for Christmas morning. Each year we realize how much
this ministry means to those who need a little Christmas “cheer”. Thank you for your support!
It’s that time of year when we collect winter wear for the
children of the Yakama Christian Mission. You are invited
to purchase a couple of items and place them on (or under)
the tree in the Fellowship Hall. They will be dedicated on
December 20 and then taken to the Mission at White
Swan. Thank you.
Special Christmas Offering – Sunday, December 13 – 20 The annual Christmas Offering goes directly to support the ministry of the
Northwest Regional Christian Church.
