HIGH-SPEED R AIL PROGR AM
The High‑Speed Rail Authority is responsible for planning, designing, building and operating the first high‑speed rail system in the county. This program will allow passengers to travel throughout the state faster and more efficiently.
By 2033, the high‑speed rail system will run from the San Francisco to the Los Angeles basin through the Central Valley in under three hours and will eventually extend to Sacramento and San Diego, totaling 800 miles with up to 24 stations.
