Tom and Jerry. A silly cat called Tom runs after a clever mouse called Jerry who teases him.

• Mice are domestic animals. They can be divided into two groups: big rats and little hamsters. They have a long tail and big teeth. They can be black, brown, white, grey and blue. They like to eat nuts, grains and different food. Mice like to play with people.

• Home cats — a predatory mammal, a family of cats. According to the researches, all house cats occurred from a group of wood cats in the Near East 10000 years ago.

• The first home cat appeared in Egypt. It is written in different annals and documents.

Lions are mammals.Lions are beautiful and big cats.They lived in Asia but now they live

in the savannas of Africa.A group of lions consists of kindred animals and is called

pride.A lion can be known by a big mane on its head.

• Lion is a very big cat.When lion is not hungry,he can sleep near twenty hours.

Description.

A tiger is the biggest cat on the Earth – the length is up to 3m and its weight is up to 300kg. It can develop the speed of 70 – 90 km/h. A tiger is an excellent hunter . It is a good swimmer and diver too.

Habitat

• A tiger likes to eat different ungulates, it also eats fish and wild – fowl but more seldom.1-3 of blind tiger’s cubs are born every two years. It lives in forests, woods, river valleys, hills and mountains.

About the animal • Elephants are the biggest four-legged animals. They come from Africa and Asia. Africans elephants have got very big ears and Asia elephants have got little ears. Elephants have got a very long nose – a trunk and two long white teeth – tusks.

Crocodiles eat fish, birds, mammals and occasionally smaller crocodiles. They can swim quickly and they love water. Crocodiles are green or brown. They have got relatives. They are alligators. Crocodiles swim in the water with the help of a tail. Crocodiles

have teeth 5 sm. long. They put on eggs in the sand on the shore.

Crocodiles live in the tropics in Africa, Asia, America and Australia. Crocodiles live in the rives, lakes, bogs.
