A Story Guide
Today I will be
going to a street
fair called
Viva Calle!
Viva Calle is fun! There will be lots of people walking,
riding bikes and on skateboards.
There will be games and other fun
activities to try along the route.
Viva Calle is an outdoor event and it
may be hot.
I should wear
comfortable
shoes and
light clothes
to keep me
cool. I can wear shorts and a t-shirt.
There will be crowds and sometimes
loud sounds and noises.
I will stay close to
my family to be
safe.
If I get separated from my family I can
ask a staff or volunteer for help.
They will be wearing these shirts.
I can bring earmuffs or a small
toy to make me feel
comfortable.
If I need a
break I can
ask my
family to
stop and
rest.
There will be
spots where
volunteers will tell
me to stop.
I will wait
patiently to cross
the street.
There are “Activity Hubs” with city
staff if I need help or have questions.
At each hub you can find maps,
games, food, water, restrooms, and
first aid.
If I get hungry, thirsty or need
to use a restroom, I need to
tell someone.
I can visit the
Sensory Tent and
Therapeutic
Activities on
Cotton Grove Ave
& Monterey Rd.
I can’t wait to go to
Viva Calle!
