Mr. Sorrentino served as a student teacher at North Plainfield High School in 1964-1965

Behind the Man: Biographical Facts

He served in a military camp in Georgia in 1965

In July 1966, because of ROTC, he entered the army as a Lieutenant


In Vietnam, he was promoted to Captain


Mr. Sorrentino received the Bronze Star Medal for his military service


In May 1967, he returned home from Vietnam

After only three days home, he was offered a teaching job at North Plainfield High School


At North Plainfield High School, he taught…

Students loved Mr. Sorrentino as a teacher. One student even wrote him a thank you note!
