A simple overview of a school magazine for my blog

This school magazine has a very effective way of showing that the school that you would like your child to attend is of a very well kept and exclusive nature. The front cover is very uncluttered, which possible reflects upon the schools attitude towards education. Just from a first glance you can tell that, this school would be a private public school, charging a very high fee to allow your child to attend.

The lack apparent lack of children in the photo gives the impression that the school is more about the education rather than the well being of their pupils. This could be a point to put parents off, but also encourage them to look inside and get a better insight into what the school is about.

The magazine is of a reasonable size, which suggests that the school has a lot say. I also think that the school would be very proud of its reputation and I’m sure would boast about their success inside, obviously attracting the potential pupils parents.

The magazine uses bright colours E.G red to attract the eye of any potential students or parents, which in turn draws them to look inside. Having bright colours is very important, because to make your magazine stand out it has to be bright enough for someone’s eyes to be caught within a matter of seconds.

Masthead: The mast head chosen for this school, is at the bottom of the page, leaving enough space at the top, to keep with this schools simple but affective layout.

Main image: The main image used for this school, is a simple, but eye catching image, showing the exclusivity of the premises. There are no pupils shown and the grounds are kept in perfect condition. In the corner there is also another issue of the magazine, with a different front cover, this also has a very minimalist design.
