How much anxiety do we bring upon ourselves by constantly worrying about not having enough or attaining more things? God won’t necessarily give you everything you want, but He will provide everything you need. Try this – use the word “pray” instead of the word “worry” in the future.

VOCATION PRAYER CHALICE Praying for vocations to the Priesthood and Religious life is both a responsibility and privilege of the laity. We at Saint Ann Church have begun a beautiful ministry of prayer for vocations using the Vocation Prayer Chalice. Each Sunday at the end of a Mass, a family or individual will be presented the Vocation Prayer Chalice, a candle, and a booklet with prayers for each day of the week. In taking the Prayer Chalice, they commit themselves to pray each day during that week on behalf of our parish for vocations. There is no doubt that the Holy Spirit is calling forth men and women (boys and girls) from this very parish community to these courageous and beautiful roles of service in the Church. May our prayers help inspire them to be attentive to the movement of the Holy Spirit within them and to step forward in faith and with generous hearts to wherever the Spirit leads them! Consider being part of this wonderful opportunity of prayer... Please pray on it! ACCELERATED CONFIRMATION CLASSES for ADULTS

The Accelerated Adult Confirmation Classes are for adults who are baptized Catholic, received First Communion, catechized and are now seeking to complete their Sacraments of Initiation. Why be confirmed? Confirmation brings the process of Christian Initiation to completion, to be fully initiated in the Catholic faith. What do we do? We meet as a small group, focusing on the connection of the practice of our Catholic faith to everyday lives; looking at our image of God and how it affects our relationship with Him. Various resources are used including the US Catholic Catechism for Adults, ‘CATHOLICISM’ Video Series Program and The New American Bible, Revised Edition. It is an opportunity to see our faith, as adults for the first time with an adult understanding. Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible, by Jeff Cavins and Sarah Christmyer, is an engaging 8-week journey through Salvation History that
provides the easiest way to understand the Bible. The series begins on Thursday February 1st at
7:00pm and will continue to meet every Thursday through March 22nd in the Church.
Each session includes a 30-minute video presentation and group discussion.
Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible makes the complex simple. It helps us uncover the story woven throughout Scripture so that we can get the “big picture” of the Bible and understand what it is all about. The Bible is a story about
the Father’s unfailing love for us, each one of us, individually - a love that we are now
called to share with others. Participants are asked to purchase a student

SAVE the DATES... DAYS of REFLECTION for Men & Women The Annual Men’s and Women’s Days of Reflection Conferences will showcase speakers aimed at invigorating the faith of the thousands who attend. Held at Seton Hall University in South Orange, it will conclude with afternoon Mass with Cardinal Joseph W Tobin CSsR as the main celebrant. The Women’s Conference will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 and the Men’s Conference is the following week, Saturday, March 10, 2018. The RESPECT LIFE OFFICE of the Archdiocese of Newark As a church, we recognize that all life is precious and there is a need to heal those that have gone through an abortion or are in need of healing from the wounds of abuse. The Respect Life Office has two retreats, Rachel’s Vineyard and Grief to Grace, which address these sensitive issues. Separated/Divorced Parish Support Groups will be starting their Spring sessions!
"It's true . . . there's no such thing as "Catholic Divorce" ...but millions of Catholics DO get civilly divorced. It affects and hurts us all. Maybe you or someone you know has suffered the breakdown of the marriage and family, or maybe they are going through it right now. No matter how long it's been, the Church IS HERE to help. The Archdiocese of Newark currently has 13 parishes who offer a support group for the separated/divorced and these groups will be starting during the next couple months.
