A RAINY DAY

The moisture-laden clouds swirling in the sky became more and more compact and darker and darker. At first, they were uncertain about releasing their load of moisture. This made those who wanted to venture out undecided whether to take umbrellas with them. High above in the sky, the clouds continued roll and turn and were churned into tightly-packed, black cotton-wool-like masses that completely blocked out the sun. A loud rumble issued from the innards of the churning clouds and they regurgitated most of the water they had received from earth through the process of evaporation. The regurgitated water poured down as rain on the expanse of land covered by the clouds. The rain didn’t not graduate from a drizzle to a downpour. It was an instant downpour in which the gigantic drops of water pelted the earth and everything that was on it. The instantaneous torrential downpour caught many people by surprise. They had little time to get out of the rain and by the time they did, they were already completely soaked.
