And through the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners. Amen.

My Dear Friends in Christ, I love this time of year, although at times I don’t fully under-stand why. For me, it is a time of sneezing and blowing my nose way too much as the onslaught of pollen attacks all my senses. As the school year nears its end, there are awards banquets and concerts, First Communions and a multitude of spring sports games being squeezed into the (few) days without rain. This year, there is a principal search for our St. Joseph Grade School and meetings with our Faith in our Future cohort teams to im-plement the recommendations given us by our Bishop. Yet, with all this activity, I find a certain joy in being a part of this great work called Saint Joseph’s Church. Our parish is alive and working all the time for all its members to grow more deeply in our relationship with Jesus Christ. As you know, a couple weeks ago I was leading a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and it was a truly wonderful experience. Our guide, George was Catholic and he shared with us many stories of the reality of being a Christian Catholic in the Holy Land. In Jerusalem, Christians make up just 2% of the total population and what I found was that the Christians who are still in Israel are strong in their faith. They need to be or else they would per-ish! The story is the same in many other countries throughout the world. Please continue to pray for peace and religious free-dom in our world. Next weekend is Mother’s Day. I encourage you all to think of your mothers, whether they are still alive with us or in heaven. Make sure to let them know your love for them in a real and sincere way. I realize that not all of us have had the perfect rela-tionship with our parents. If you are still carrying a hurt with you, now is the time to ask our Lord for the grace to forgive. God bless us all. Fr. Scott
