I love the gulls

and dolphins

I just don’t like the sand!

And the flag flying high above

I look out with my telescope

My parrot sits on my shoulder

Spying baddies and their ships,

I take my pistol from its holder.

Avast me hearties!

Reading long lost treasure maps

takes a lot of skill,

At Mystery Island X marks the spot,

It gives me such a thrill!

Shiver me timbers!

My peg leg knocks

and bangs

and rattles

Upon the wooden hull

I tighten my belt and tie my scarf

I fly my crossbones and skull!

Ahoy me hearties!

In storms at night I grasp the wheel

My ship shudders with the lightning!

Rain lashes my face and

makes me cold.

At times it is quite frightening!

But I always say….
