All rooms are ~ 12’ x 15‘ and smoke free All rooms include a bed, desk, bookshelf and chair for each resident Most rooms include two wardrobes and two lockable overhead storage areas All rooms include television cable, wired and wireless internet access.
The Truths about Student Rooms
Then why does AU use the online roommate matching system, “Residence”? Room changes are not permitted for the first two weeks of classes All new students will be required to complete a Roommate Agreement
The Truths about Roommates
The Truths about Temporary Triples
Why Triples? Demand for university housing has increased
dramatically over the past five years.
AU’s campus housing return rate has risen by more than 8% in the last three years on top of an additional increase in the
overall University retention rate.
The Truths about Temporary Triples
Who is in Triples? Temporary triples are formed based on the date of paid deposit.
There is no magic date when temporary tripling began.
Individual programs and preferences matter.
The Truths about Temporary Triples
How? Temporary triple rooms have:
three beds (two are bunked; one is lofted) three desks three chairs
additional dresser access to three wired internet connections.
The Truths about Temporary Triples
When? Room assignments will continue to change
between today and August move-in.
We will begin de-tripling as quickly as we can.
Most temporary triples are de-tripled at the end of the 1st semester.
After fall, students will only be assigned to triple rooms by
choice.
